To continue my coverage of week 11, I stopped by Nashville Christian School for a Halloween showdown between the Eagles and the Friendship Christian Commanders. After catching Nashville Christian's 35-21 win over Friendship Christian, here's my full game recap as well as my top performers.

Top Performers

In the first place spot on my list is [player_tooltip player_id='402548' first='Jared' last='Curtis'], a quarterback at Nashville Christian School. Curtis was unstoppable all night long, making a number of impressive passes, including several deep passes to put the Eagles in prime scoring position. Curtis was also a major threat on the ground as the 5-star Georgia commit punched in three rushing touchdowns.

I was additionally impressed with [player_tooltip player_id='1238919' first='T.J.' last='Ward'], a running back at Nashville Christian School. Ward also made a big difference for the Eagles on the ground, utilizing his size and strength to convert on third-down. Ward also helped get things going for Nashville Christian on the team's first drive, finding his way past the defense to march in the touchdown.

Also making his presence known was [player_tooltip player_id='284142' first='Bryson' last='Holt'], an athlete at Nashville Christian School. Holt came in clutch in the first half, meeting Curtis at the goal line to haul in the quick touchdown pass. Holt's outstanding size and electric speed made a huge difference as he beat the entire defense to get in prime position for the touchdown pass.

Claiming the number four spot on my list is [player_tooltip player_id='1104293' first='Blake' last='Waldorf'], a quarterback at Friendship Christian School. Despite the loss, Waldorf played extremely composed at the helm of the Commanders' offense, making several impressive passes throughout the contest. Another aspect of Waldorf's playstyle that caught my attention was his electric speed off the snap, his ability to escape the defense, and his ability to run in the touchdown.

Also worth mentioning is Jayden McGowan, a running back at Friendship Christian School. McGowan was the most significant offensive weapon for the Commanders, making a number of impressive runs throughout the night. McGowan also helped get things going for the Commanders offensively, finding a way to break through the defense and take it to the house for the touchdown.

Game Recap

Nashville Christian struck first with 4:33 on the clock as [player_tooltip player_id='1238919' first='T.J.' last='Ward'] scored off the handoff, breaking free of the defense from along the edge to punch in the early touchdown. The Eagles were back on the scoreboard with a few seconds left in the first quarter as [player_tooltip player_id='402548' first='Jared' last='Curtis'] ran the ball 83 yards to the goal line, passing it off to [player_tooltip player_id='284142' first='Bryson' last='Holt'] who would take it to the house for the touchdown. Nashville Christian held a 14-0 lead over Friendship Christian. The Commanders would get things going offensively in the second half as Jayden McGowan found an opening in the defense and ran in the touchdown. Before the end of the first half, Curtis and the Eagles would extend their lead as the Georgia commit ran in another rushing touchdown. Nashville Christian led Friendship Christian 21-7 at the half. Curtis would punch in another rushing touchdown to start off the third quarter as the Eagles went up 28-7 on the Commanders. Curtis picked up his third rushing touchdown of the night with 5:12 remaining in the third quarter as the Eagles were up 35-7 on the Commanders. Friendship Christian began to come back in the fourth quarter as McGowan blasted past the defense to record his second touchdown of the night. Friendship Christian cut the deficit again with 1:31 left in the contest as [player_tooltip player_id='1104293' first='Blake' last='Waldorf'] juked out the entire defense and took it to the house for the touchdown. Nashville Christian went on to win 35-21 and improve to 10-0 on the season while the Commanders fell to 8-2.
