The 6'4 185 pounder was overwhelming the Maple Lake defensive line with just the size and length that had to work against. Right off the bat to start the game, the Irish onside kicked and George was the one that showed off the suddenness to the ball and vision to recover the onside kick. Not only was the 2027 linebacker around the ball consistently, I liked the pursuit angles he had on the bulk of his tackles he had against the Irish. I didn't have a stat count on tackles for Carson on Friday afternoon, but my gut tells me he probably had double digits in that department. The 6'1 210 pounder showed off a noticable fluidity when he released downhill to the ball that caught my attention on a good chunk of reps I watched for the Irish linebacker. He was one of the most persistent tacklers for Maple Lake that I could grasp on Friday. The 6'3 200 pounder showed off solid length in his arms and showed off a balanced pad-level that was persistent in the OL reps I watched from him. Isaac also was able to utilize those skillsets to push his leverage into the second level, muliple times in the reps I watched. Not only did he log the kickoff return for a touchdown but I was impressed with this kid's motor at linebacker all game long. It didn't matter what the score was, Landon was the Irish's most persistent tackler and got downhill quickly to the ball on plenty of reps. Lucas was a linebacker that showed off a constant quick release out of his stance to track down the ball carrier downhill with good footwork and eager persistence. He was a cornerback I wish I had watched more of his reps, cause of the physical nature he displayed with with the wide receiver. He was glued in the reps I watched to those WRs and also showed off a good ball tracking ability when the Irish were able to take a shot. The 6'0 170 pounder was not only agile when he changed directions on his cuts, but you could tell that he moved with downfield with some authoritive movement when the ball was in his possession. I caught Noah on numerous occasions showing relentless effort and physicality with every opportunity he had getting off with his hands at linebacker and certainly at the point of attack as an offensive linemen. Frankie brought a backfield creator skillset to the USA offense, as his mobility in space created yards on his own but knew how strong his backfield was as well. On the throws we did see out of Frankie, he showed off solid touch especially on short and intermediate routes. The 6'0 195 pounder logged to my count three rushing touchdowns deep in the red zone. Those yards were some of the hardest earned yards you could get on Friday afternoon, but Ethan found a way each time to ground and pound with the use of his vision and durability in for touchdown after touchdown. He also was the Patriots weapon on 2 point conversions, as Ethan put his durability to the test and got the Patriots even more points with several conversions. The 6'4 180 pounder has a very long catch radius that wasted no time showing it off in one of his receptions early in this game and we saw it the use of it on both sides of the ball. Brody utilized his long frame like a center in the paint boxing out his man, as Maple Lake had no answer for the great hands and body position that Brody could get their secondary in. He caught everything and anything that came his way and even logged an interception as well on defense.
