He's the wing-back in what is obviously a run-heavy wing-t offense. Simpson isn't a burner, but he does have a few long runs on his resume so far this season. I appreciate his patience and vision, which enable him to identify and attack running lanes. He broke off a few long runs last week against Cox High School. He hits the hole at full speed and is sometimes untouched as he reaches the second level. It's worth noting that he also plays on defense as a safety. It's early, but Hughes is already being counted on to take the load for Kempsville's rushing attack. He ran for 209 yards and two touchdowns in his team's win over Princess Anne High School. Washington (0-2) in two games. He's a wide receiver, but after watching his highlights from a couple of weekends ago, you can see why he's getting carries as well. Undersized, but he has that one thing that everyone loves: speed. Powell has that second gear. He's carried the football 28 times for 218 yards and two touchdowns. Hayes is a north-south runner who hits the hole with urgency and power. He uses his compact frame to run through both leg and arm tackles.
