Each week we will break down the state's Top 15 and give point spreads and predictions for each contest. Look for 5A to be added in the following weeks.

#1 Lake Oswego BYE

Camas, WA @ #2 West Linn (-30.5)

The Papermakers feature one of the top overall programs in the NW, but this is not the team that made a run to the state title game last year. Camas lost by 27 to a good Mount Tahoma squad a few weeks back and will now have to play the reigning Oregon state champs who are fresh off a big win at Sumner. Look for West Linn to win by a healthy margin.

#6 Lakeridge @ #3 Central Catholic (-4.5)

This is a big game for both schools but especially Lakeridge. The Pacers lost 40-17 to CC in the playoffs last year and are in need of a big win against a top program heading into TRL play. Central was impressive in their 35-6 win over #8 Jesuit last week. I would bet a lot this game comes down to the final few minutes.

#4 Tualatin BYE

Sheldon @ #5 Willamette (-15.5)

There will be no love lost here. As most know numerous Willamette players and the head coach were at Sheldon last season before making the move. The Irish got a nice 33-10 win over North Medford last week and are still a capable team. The Wolverines have a star-studded lineup but that doesn't always equate in a matchup like this. If Sheldon can hang around in this one that will be extremely telling.

#7 Nelson BYE

Grant @ #8 Jesuit (-50)

If Jesuit doesn't take him out of the game [player_tooltip player_id='1591586' first='Luke' last='Ortner'] will run for 400 yards. Grant has some talented guys on their roster but have gotten absolutely thumped by everyone, including Hood River, losing by a combined score of 103-7 over the last three weeks. This should be over quickly.

Mountain View, WA @ #9 Mountainside (-28.5)

A 2-7 Mountain View team surprised everyone last season coming up just short against the Metro League champ Mavericks 21-20. This shouldn't be close with Mountainside being a top 10 6A team and Mountain View not being competitive this year at 0-3

(-3.5) #10 Newberg @ #12 Sunset

This should be a really good football game. Newberg came up just short against #7 Nelson and played well against #1 LO last week. Credit to them for playing a tough non-league schedule as they are still the favorite to win the Pacific. Sunset got blasted in week #1 by Sandy but has looked good since so I would expect a close game with Newberg covering the spread.

#11 Sandy BYE

(-21) #13 Tigard @ Sherwood

The Tigers were super impressive last week with QB [player_tooltip player_id='937183' first='Aris' last='Dimick'] accounting for 7 TDs in one half against Roosevelt in the 59-6 win. This is the same Roosevelt team that came back against Sherwood in week 1 and made it a ball game. I would expect Tigard to roll in this one.

(-23) #14 West Salem @ North Medford

North currently sits at 0-3 while getting routed the last 2 weeks which was surprising. The Titans have been playing good ball behind RB [player_tooltip player_id='914281' first='Koen' last='Campos'] and are looking to compete for a conference title at 3-0. That said as I could see this game being closer than expected.

#15 Westview @ Glencoe (-1)

A lot of credit to both programs with each being undefeated thus far. Glencoe would potentially be the #16 seed if there was one so this should be a very even contest. The key will be stopping Crimson Tide RB [player_tooltip player_id='1232743' first='Daniel' last='Heninger'] because no one has yet.
