PELION | Dominant defense was the theme Friday night when Ridge Spring-Monetta and American Leadership met up in a non-region game.

It was clear from the beginning that Ridge Spring's defense was fast and would be flying all over the field throughout the evening, and it produced a 22-0 victory. That group was led by [player_tooltip player_id='1822583' first='Kamareon' last='Andrews'] [player_tooltip player_id='1822580' first='Lucious' last='O'Conner'] (forced fumble, sack) and Dtoris Lott (blocked punt).

Andrews (pictured above) also contributed in the rushing attack, as he finished the night with 12 carries for 83 yards and a touchdown. He knew he'd need to have a good outing and was glad to be a part of the team's success.

"We wanted to get our first win of the season, man," he said. "I'm glad I was able to be a part of it on both sides of the ball and help us get that first win. Now it's on to the next one, it's only better from here."

Along with the dominant defense, it was a potent ground attack that led to two of the three touchdowns. Those came from the previously mentioned Andrews and [player_tooltip player_id='1592558' first='Jabarius' last='Brunson'].

Other Ridge Spring Standouts

De'aire Kinard RB/OLB, 2027 - Kinard was also a part of the excellent rushing attack, finishing the night with 68 yards on 10 carries.

[player_tooltip player_id='1819166' first='Chandler' last='Harley'] QB, 2026 - Harley did not have to do too much under center, but he was productive when he was asked to produce. He completed four passes for 40 yards and a touchdown, as well as one carry for two yards.

[player_tooltip player_id='1648648' first='Kymani' last='Denny'] WR/CB, 2027 - Denny was on the receiving end of Harley's lone touchdown pass. It went for 14 yards and was an excellent effort by the junior receiver to break tackles and get into the endzone.

Wesley Scott WR, 2028 - Scott led the team in catches with two for 21 yards. He was targeted multiple other times, but good defensive plays prevented more catches.

[player_tooltip player_id='1820069' first='Bryce' last='Smith'] DT, 2026 - Smith made his presence felt on the defensive line with several tackles for loss as well as a fumble recovery.

American Leadership Standouts

Jameson Nunnery RB, 2028 - Nunnery was the leading rusher on the night, with seven carries for 32 yards. He showed a nice ability to plant his foot and find a different hole to run through. He also had one reception for 31 yards.

Chris Parnell DL, 2027 - Parnell was a bright spot on a disappointing defensive night, as he had two forced fumbles, both of which he fell on and recovered.

[player_tooltip player_id='1822266' first='Caleb' last='Sanders'] DL, 2027 - Another bright spot on the defense, Sanders finished the night with multiple sacks. He was consistently in the backfield and even when he wasn't making the tackle, he was helping teammates be in the right place to make the play.

[player_tooltip player_id='1811040' first='Leonard' last='Pressley'] QB, 2027 - Pressley started the night strong, completing his first two passes for 41 yards. It was quiet night after that, but the junior quarterback showed some promise in both the air and ground game.
