Week 1 Upstate Game Balls

Week 1 in the Upstate had a little bit of everything.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Here's a look at some guys who turned in performances worthy of game balls in the season's second week.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1592026' first='Tyqwon' last='Booker']</strong> RB and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1819503' first='Nick' last='Morgan']</strong> LB, Broome - Both Booker and Morgan came up huge in the Centurions 35-34 overtime win against Chesnee. Booker rushed for 219 yards and three TDs, while Morgan had double-digit tackles for Broome. Mann. Tate had three sacks on the night, and Bailey notched three tackles. His biggest contribution, though, was a forced fumble which he recovered and returned 70 yards for a touchdown.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1819042' first='Gavin' last='Silvers']</strong> RB and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1819371' first='Luke' last='Morris']</strong> QB, Pickens - Silvers and Morris were two of the keys for the Blue Flame as the offense exploded for 70 points. Silvers rushed for TDs of 35 and 4 yards, while Morris rushed for four TDs and threw for two more for Pickens.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1790589' first='Muntu' last='Brown']</strong> RB, Wren - Brown (pictured) carried 13 times for 186 yards and three touchdowns as the Hurricanes blasted Easley 50-21.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1821177' first='Julian' last='Renrick']</strong> Edge and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1050653' first='Kiishawn' last='Farrow']</strong> QB, Greenville - The Red Raiders bounced back in Week 1, defeating Riverside 28-0. Hainsworth pulled in five balls for 117 yards and a touchdown, as MVP's offensive playmakers got just one half of action in a big win.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1822467' first='Braylon' last='Revis']</strong> ATH, Landrum - Revis lit it up in Landrum's big win over Berea. He had just nine carries on the night, but four of those went for scores as he picked up 74 yards.
