6-3 275-pound lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1635865' first='Lucas' last='Wetzel'] of Tigard and 6-2 250-pound big man [player_tooltip player_id='1639236' first='Henry' last='Pickard'] of Mountainside are two individuals up front on the offensive line with potential, both coming from legit programs.

[player_tooltip player_id='1636376' first='Tyten' last='Davis'] of Grants Pass and [player_tooltip player_id='1750258' first='Lyric' last='Samuelu'] of Nelson are undersized lineman who could do well on both sides of the football and be a factor early on in their career.

There are a handful of QBs to make note of when looking at this list. [player_tooltip player_id='1539446' first='Ryker' last='Rohaley'] of Sheldon had a nice off season performing well at multiple collegiate camps. The Irish are a traditional Oregon power but with so many athletes transferring it will be interesting to see how that works out.

[player_tooltip player_id='1612593' first='Nicoya' last='Pruess'] of Marshfield is an outstanding overall athlete and could shoot up the rankings board with a good sophomore season. QB [player_tooltip player_id='1679118' first='Daniel' last='Hayes'] of Central Catholic is another one to watch, coming from a talented family with his 6-5 brother playing D1 ball.

6-4 QB [player_tooltip player_id='1611487' first='Nolan' last='Wolfe'] of Glencoe will lead a much-improved Crimson Tide squad who could be one of the best at the 5A level.

Breaking down the skill kids we see athletes from all over the state worthy of recognition. [player_tooltip player_id='1760617' first='Julian' last='Lutz'] of Sprague has a real shot from a projection standpoint if he continues to progress. His teammate [player_tooltip player_id='1760618' first='Carter' last='Nguyen'] MVP'd multiple tournaments this off season on the 7v7 circuit as part of Team Alpha. Both will be two of the better perimeter players in the South/Central Conference in the years ahead. Don't sleep on the Oly's [player_tooltip player_id='1078484' first='Ethan' last='Wylam'] who has done a good job also.

[player_tooltip player_id='1612952' first='Grady' last='Gilmore'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1609659' first='Cohen' last='Bissell'] of West Linn are two other individuals who will eventually get in the mix for the reigning state champs. The Lions are deep so it might not be this year, but they will both be influential in the TRL.

Some of the RB/LB's to watch for include [player_tooltip player_id='1680318' first='Julian' last='Morales'] of Century who had an impressive freshman season at the Varsity level, making 40+ tackles with 7 tackles for loss. [player_tooltip player_id='1612600' first='Rowen' last='Peterson'] of Willamette is a good-looking athlete who can play multiple spots with [player_tooltip player_id='1658296' first='Landon' last='Davis'] of Nelson possibly playing a key role for the Hawks this year. He made 40 solo tackles at the JV level and can also run the ball.
