2024 Record: 12–1 (Regional Semifinals)

The Texarkana Texas High Tigers are coming off one of their best seasons in recent memory, posting a 12–1 record and advancing to the regional semifinals before bowing out of the playoffs. The Tigers have consistently fielded competitive teams, but the 2025 squad has a unique mix of star power, depth, and experience that makes them one of the most dangerous programs in Texas entering the season.

The burning question heading into the fall: can the Tigers finally get over the hump and bring home a state championship?

Few players in the nation can impact the game the way Ball can. Ball has the rare ability to score from anywhere on the field, whether lined up in the backfield or split out wide. His speed, quick acceleration, and lethal jump cut make him nearly impossible to contain in space. In 2024, he posted 777 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns on the ground, while adding 44 receptions for 1,017 yards and 11 touchdowns through the air. With more than 40 scholarship offers before committing to Oregon, Ball is the focal point of the Tigers' offensive attack and one of the most feared playmakers in Texas.

McGhee is a centerpiece along the Tigers' defensive front. At 6-foot-5 and 260 pounds, he brings a rare combination of size, athleticism, and versatility. Capable of lining up on the interior or on the edge in the Tigers' 3–4 scheme, McGhee uses his quick first step and leverage to collapse the pocket and disrupt plays in the backfield. His ability to anchor the defensive line makes him one of the most valuable players on the roster and a cornerstone for the Tigers' championship aspirations.

Ford is only entering his junior season, but he is already recognized as one of the premier offensive line prospects in the Texas. Standing 6-foot-5 and weighing 285 pounds, he combines nimble footwork with impressive length and power. Ford excels both in pass protection and in the run game, where his ability to climb to the second level and finish blocks through the whistle stands out. His recruitment includes offers from Alabama, Ohio State, Florida, Michigan, Auburn, Arkansas, and many others, making him one of the most highly recruited linemen in the East Texas region.

A two-year starter and proven leader, Chisum brings toughness and consistency to the Tigers' offensive line. At 6-foot-4, 285 pounds, he plays with excellent technique and power. Chisum is particularly effective pulling across the line of scrimmage in Texas High's run-heavy packages, and his physical style sets the tone for the offensive front. His commitment to North Texas solidifies his future at the next level, but for now, he remains a critical anchor in the trenches for the Tigers.

Hall is a rangy safety with the instincts and athleticism to make plays all over the field. At 6-foot, 195 pounds, he brings physicality to the secondary while also excelling in coverage. His 2024 season included 35 tackles and 4 interceptions, proving he has the ability to track the football and create momentum-changing plays. Hall has flown under the radar in recruiting circles, but his production and film suggest he could be a major steal for a college program.

Wyatt provides consistency and toughness in the defensive backfield. He posted 28 tackles and 2 interceptions in 2024, showing his ability to read quarterbacks and compete in man coverage. With strong technique and a physical style, Wyatt gives the Tigers valuable depth and another reliable playmaker in the secondary.

Moore adds another dimension to the Tigers' ground game. At 5-foot-9, 190 pounds, he is a quick, decisive runner who hits the hole hard and wastes little movement. His combination of speed, vision, and elusiveness makes him difficult to corral, and his reliable hands give him value as a receiving threat out of the backfield. Moore is the type of player who simply needs touches, once the ball is in his hands, he finds ways to make plays. Pairing him with Ball gives Texas High one of the most dangerous one-two punches coming out of East Texas.

Banks is one of the most versatile defenders in the program, capable of playing linebacker or safety depending on the situation. At 6-foot, 180 pounds, he excels in space and is an outstanding open-field tackler. Banks is also comfortable in coverage, with the length and instincts to disrupt passing lanes. His hybrid skill set allows Texas High to be creative with its defensive looks, and his projection as an in-the-box safety at the college level speaks to his versatility.
