Rising Stars Poised for a Big Breakout Year

Florida has long been a hotbed of high school football talent. Annually, Florida produces some of the nation's top prospects. Florida athletes are known for their speed, agility, and raw athleticism. These prospects have made names for themselves and have caught the attention of coaches and scouts at the collegiate level. With the 2025 season getting closer, we're looking for players whose stock is rising in the state.   These players are all talented and have college-level abilities. Some of these players have a few offers, but all of them have the ability to play college football at some level.   There are some big-time, highly rated prospects and several sleeper prospects who should all be getting looks for the next level. This list is full of stud prospects. Tamen Zabetakis (c/o 2026) Position: Quarterback School: Choctawhatchee High Height/Weight: 6'2”, 186 lbs Week 0 Stats: 173 yds, 2 TDs in one half College Offers: Huntingdon College GPA: 3.2   Scouting Report: Zabetakis is a confident, poised quarterback with the size and field presence to command an offense. He consistently demonstrates a quick release, accurate throws, and the ability to read defensive coverages pre-snap. Exhibits excellent pocket awareness, keeping his eyes downfield while maneuvering around pressure. He can make all the throws required at a high level, including intermediate to deep routes, and his timing and anticipation allow him to connect in rhythm with his receivers. Shows leadership qualities and calmness in game situations, able to rally teammates and manage tempo effectively. His footwork in both pass protection and run blocking allows him to maintain leverage against bigger defenders while still moving defenders off the ball. Displays toughness and consistency, finishing blocks with physicality. Recognized as an All-Conference player, he brings leadership and reliability to the offensive front. His awareness and ability to read defensive schemes add to his effectiveness, making him a high-IQ lineman who can thrive in multiple blocking concepts.   Cameryn Arbelaez (c/o 2026) Position: Outside Linebacker School: Hudson High Height/Weight: 6'0”, 195 lbs Week 0 Stats: 4 tackles, 1 sack   Scouting Report: Arbelaez is a versatile, athletic edge defender with a knack for getting to the ball carrier or quarterback quickly. He combines speed, agility, and strength, allowing him to set the edge against the run and pressure the passer effectively. Shows good recognition of plays, reading blocking schemes and adjusting his path to make impactful plays. Aggressive and high-motor, Arbelaez attacks every snap with urgency and uses his length and hands to shed blocks and disrupt plays.   Jacob Smith (c/o 2028) Position: Linebacker School: Interlachen High Height/Weight: 5'11”, 195 lbs Week 0 Stats: 8 tackles, 1 sack GPA: 3.71   Scouting Report: Smith is a highly instinctive and athletic linebacker who consistently reads plays quickly and reacts decisively. He demonstrates strong pursuit angles and a high motor, closing on ball carriers with speed and precision. Comfortable shedding blockers, Smith uses leverage and hand technique to make tackles near the line of scrimmage and in the open field. His combination of size, agility, and awareness allows him to contribute effectively in both run support and pass coverage. Shows instincts to find soft spots in zone coverage and displays awareness to adjust to the quarterback's delivery.
