Preseason Review - Liberty Christian Warriors

The team is led by head coach Jason Witten, who continues to set the tone with a strong culture and disciplined approach. With talent returning on both sides of the ball and a program built on toughness and execution, Liberty Christian looks poised to make another deep run in 2025. He threw for 3,055 yards and 43 touchdowns while adding another 200 yards on the ground showcasing not only his arm talent but also his mobility when the pocket breaks down. His mechanics are clean, his release is quick, and he consistently delivers with timing and precision.   What separates Quinn is his ability to read the field and make the right decision under pressure. He understands where to go with the football pre and post snap and does a great job manipulating safeties with his eyes. He throws with layered touch, can zip it into tight windows, and shows poise in the face of pressure.   In addition to the physical tools, Quinn brings a strong leadership presence. He energizes his teammates, takes ownership of the offense, and plays with a competitive edge that elevates those around him.      Jaxon will be stepping up at the running back position this season, looking to carry the load for the offense. He's a tough, physical runner with good vision and balance through contact. Whether it's between the tackles or bouncing it outside, Jaxon runs with purpose and doesn't shy away from contact.   As he takes on a bigger role, expect him to be a key piece in sustaining drives and wearing down defenses. With his work ethic and determination, Jaxon is ready to prove he can be the go to back and make a real impact this season.     Cade is a downhill linebacker who plays with relentless energy and physicality. He's aggressive at the point of attack, sheds blocks well, and isn't afraid to meet ball carriers in the hole. Cade's instincts allow him to diagnose plays quickly, and he consistently puts himself in position to make stops.   What really stands out is the tone he sets on defense he brings a level of toughness and intensity that raises the standard for those around him. Whether it's filling gaps or chasing down plays from sideline to sideline, Cade is the type of player who makes his presence felt every snap.      Jett may not be the biggest linebacker on the field, but he plays with unmatched heart and effort. He's fearless when attacking the line of scrimmage and shows great instincts in reading plays and reacting quickly. Jett consistently finds his way to the ball, using his motor and toughness to make plays all over the field.      Lukas is a fluid and instinctive defensive back who thrives in open space. He does a great job reading the quarterback's eyes and breaking on the ball with urgency. His footwork is clean, allowing him to transition smoothly in coverage, and he shows good recovery speed when tested deep.   What makes Lukas stand out is his physicality he's not afraid to get hands-on at the line or deliver a hit in the open field. He stays poised in one on one situations and brings toughness when stepping up in run support. Lukas plays with quiet confidence and brings a steady, physical presence to the secondary someone you can count on to make plays and set the tone.      Alec is a talented dual sport athlete who shines both on the football field and the baseball diamond. As a safety, he brings a high level of athleticism, awareness, and competitive toughness to the secondary. His ability to track the ball, take sharp angles, and close quickly makes him a reliable last line of defense.   His baseball background shows up in his quick reactions, hand-eye coordination, and fluid movement in space. Alex plays fast, isn't afraid to come downhill to make a hit, and communicates well on the back end. With his natural instincts and versatility, he's the kind of player who can impact the game in multiple ways and lead by example on both fields.      Jackson is looking to step up in a big way this season and has all the tools to do it. He's a smooth route runner with natural ball skills and the ability to track the deep ball with ease. His speed allows him to stretch the field and create separation, making him a real threat in the vertical passing game.   What sets Jackson apart is his ability to make plays in stride and adjust to the ball in the air. As he steps into a larger role, expect him to be a key target who can flip the field and deliver big plays when it counts.      Linkoln is a versatile athlete who makes an impact on both sides of the ball as a defensive back and wide receiver. On defense, he plays with great awareness and reacts quickly to plays in front of him. He's physical in coverage, doesn't shy away from contact, and shows good closing speed when breaking on the ball.   As a wide receiver, Linkoln is a smooth route runner with reliable hands and the ability to create separation. His two-way experience gives him a unique understanding of both coverages and route concepts, allowing him to anticipate and react at a high level. Whether locking down receivers or making plays downfield, Linkoln is the kind of player who brings value all over the field.      Cooper is a dynamic 4 star linebacker with offers from top programs like Alabama, Baylor, Clemson, LSU, and more and it's easy to see why. He plays with controlled aggression and is a true playmaker at all three levels of the defense. Whether he's shooting gaps to disrupt the run or dropping into coverage, Cooper moves with purpose and reads the game at a different speed.   He has a rare blend of explosiveness and discipline, showing the ability to blow up plays without sacrificing assignment soundness. His closing speed is elite, and he brings a violent finish as a tackler. Cooper's presence demands attention he's the type of defender offenses have to account for on every snap, and he still finds a way to make an impact. With his instincts, motor, and physical tools, he's built to thrive on Saturdays and beyond.      Jaxon is a reliable and focused kicker who brings consistency and confidence to the special teams unit. He has a smooth, repeatable swing and delivers with solid accuracy both on field goals and extra points. Whether it's hitting from distance or handling kickoffs with solid placement, Jaxon shows poise under pressure.     Ryder is an upcoming offensive lineman who's looking to make his mark this season. He brings a strong work ethic and a physical edge to the trenches, showing promise with his footwork and ability to stay engaged in blocks. Ryder is continuing to develop his technique and strength, and he's hungry to prove he can hold his own up front. Correll is a rising running back with a smooth running style and natural playmaking ability. He glides through lanes with patience and burst, showing great vision and balance at the second level. What makes him even more valuable is his ability to catch out of the backfield he's comfortable running routes and has soft hands, turning short passes into big gains.   Correll brings versatility to the offense and can be used in multiple ways to keep defenses off balance. As he continues to develop, expect him to emerge as a dynamic weapon capable of making an impact both on the ground and through the air. He brings a confident, aggressive style of play to the secondary and consistently competes at a high level. With his frame, he's able to press at the line, cover bigger receivers, and close space quickly in coverage. Luke also shows solid footwork and discipline in his transitions, allowing him to stay in phase and make plays on the ball. In the run game, he's not afraid to step up and deliver a hit, showing he can be counted on as a reliable tackler. His physical presence, combined with his motor and drive to compete, gives him the tools to be a difference maker at the next level.     With a strong foundation built under the leadership of Jason Witten, Liberty Christian enters the 2025 season with high expectations. After a dominant 12-1 campaign and an undefeated district run, the Warriors are hungry to take the next step.
