Newsome Ready For The Challenge – Again
When Lithia Newsome head football coach Jeff Turner and his team met the media recently at the Tampa Bay Bucs Facility, there was a sense of unfinished business.
After an 8-4 season ended with a second-round loss to eventual state champion Venice, the Wolves reflected on a district that included Plant City, Riverview Sumner, Strawberry Crest and Alonso all providing competition and getting this team ready for a stretch run.
As this program is ready for the season ahead, there were lessons learned along the way – and with some gifted returning prospects, there is plenty to be excited about.
