Austin, TX and the surrounding region are known for top-notch offensive firepower year in and year out. The talent at the quarterback and wide receiver positions is evergreen, and nothing seems to change heading into this season. Let's uncover a few of the top QB-WR connections for 2025.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Weiss</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">The only non-senior duo will lead us off in Schad and Moore. This connection has actually already started, putting together 3 TDs in an early kickoff game. Schad is off to a great start in year 2 after a big freshman season for the Wolves. Jaxon is a hard-nosed pocket passer who excels at stepping up in pressure and launching missiles downfield. The young star signal-caller's best trait is his accuracy at all three levels of the field. He constantly drops dimes in windows that only his receivers can catch. Schad produced an impressively efficient freshman year, passing for nearly 2,700 yards at a 71% completion rate, along with 32 TDs to only 6 INTs. Tre boasts an incredible release at the line of scrimmage and the athleticism and body control to bring down all sorts of big catches. Nationally, one of the best in the class, Moore displays a great feel for the field and getting around defenders. He regularly puts himself in a position to complete toe tap catches on the sideline or back of the endzone. His consistently great hands allow him to reel in passes while fully extended. After a sophomore campaign that compiled over 500 yards and 6 touchdowns, he should expect to skyrocket those numbers this season, especially based on yesterday's game. Tre holds offers from a long list of schools, including Texas, Alabama, and Michigan.</p>     <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Vandergrift</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Next up is a pair of reigning state champion seniors, led by an electric gunslinger in Teodecki. Boasting a tall frame and a quick and powerful lefty release, Miles showcases the ability to deliver strikes with plenty of velocity to all levels of the field. He plays with great poise in the pocket while also possessing the ability to slide out of it and control the game by opening up new passing lanes. Teodecki's pocket mechanics are smooth and polished, and he has the athleticism and motor to make plays with his legs. After a dominant junior season that saw him pass for over 3,200 yards and 48 touchdowns, Miles will seek to lead the Vipers to back-to-back state titles. He will suit up for the Kansas State Wildcats at the next level. </p>      <p class="text-gray-700">A polished route runner and after-the-catch elusive threat, Chilton made Teodecki's job much easier at times in 2024. Brock demonstrates great footwork and change of direction, which he uses to win against coverage and make defenders miss. A prototype slot receiver, Chilton excels at using his speed throughout all levels of the defense. He also has great hands, which he used to be a consistent target and safety net for the Vipers during their championship run. After a dynamic 900-yard and 12-touchdown season in 2024, I expect Brock to dominate again and form one of the best duos in the nation with his QB. He recently committed to play for the Air Force Academy at the next level.</p>     <h2 class="wp-block-heading">San Marcos</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">A unit of a QB with a smooth release and great arm strength, Steyn is one of the most underrated seniors in the state. He thrives at launching moon balls downfield with stellar accuracy. "Buck" may still have a bit of rawness to his game, but he possesses excellent tempo and delivers passes into tight windows by whatever means necessary. He does a great job controlling and dissecting defenses as he calmly processes one read at a time before making a play. Steyn should be in store for a great season as the Rattlers' QB1 with the help of Harris and company. Expect his recruitment to ramp up throughout his senior season.</p>      <p class="text-gray-700">After missing the 2024 season, Harris is all systems go to get back on track during his senior season. Dating back to his sophomore year film, Harris is an electric pass-catcher who can make plays at all three levels. Hank displays effortless change of direction and loose hips, making him a major weapon after the catch. He also showcases a splendid combination of size and athleticism, which he utilizes to reel in catches from all angles by jumping, high-pointing, and extending. Harris and Steyn have seemed to develop a strong connection throughout the Spring and Summer and will seek to lead it into the season. The state should expect the receiving end of this duo in Harris to remind everyone of his name and breakout this year. The star playmaker holds offers from schools such as Baylor, Texas Tech, and Cal.</p>
