On Saturday, May 10th, 2025 I was welcomed back for the third year in a row to cover Coach Nick Pennisi‘s PSR Big Camp Series hosted at Monroe High School in Monroe, New Jersey. As I have come to expect, this event was packed with participation, loaded with talent, and ran extremely well.

Different than other events, Pennisi opted to have three different check-in times, based on position groupings. This afforded me the opportunity to get a closer look at many of the prospects in attendance. Below are just some of my notes on the position group mentioned in this article's title.

The second of two Notre Dame wideouts to attend was [player_tooltip player_id='1693329' first='Dillon' last='White']. White ran relatively clean, crisp, and sharp routes - particularly in the intermediate game. I would, however, like to see White continue to work on high pointing the ball, as this is an area he can continue to grow... It is nasty work when a receiver can expose a defender, particularly when they put them in a blender and exploit their hips. That is exactly what [player_tooltip player_id='1693330' first='Curtis' last='O'Brien'] did. The Red Bank Catholic Casey game the most subtle in-and-out fake that made the poor defensive back lined up against him knot himself up.

When challenged, how will you respond? I can tell you that for [player_tooltip player_id='1220477' first='Jack' last='Finnegan'], the answer is with effort and tenacity. Still a prospect that is more slight at 6'0" 165lbs, this rising sophomore was challenged at the line of scrimmage with press coverage. Finnegan beat the press and gained a free release by winning with hand fights at the hand to gain an unimpeded release... For a bigger receiver, I thought that [player_tooltip player_id='1693331' first='Adam' last='Urs'] ran better than I initially pegged him to. Urs ran solid routes and sank his hips well. He epitome of this was on an out route he ran. After sinking his hips, the Lancer created a great deal of space, but was unable to convert due to an arrantly thrown ball.

The odd child in this article is Alex Clark, a Pennsylvania prospect. Coming from Notre Dame Green Pond, Clark has a well balanced, sturdy 6'3" 175lb frame. The rep that I caught of his, I saw that Clark was faced with an overly physical defender throughout all phases of the route, including at the line. That said, the Keystone State product was not moved - neither his timing nor his routes were interrupted or off course.
