Port Arthur Memorial Titans Look to Turn the Corner in 2025

The 2024 season marked a solid step forward for the Port Arthur Memorial Titans, who finished the year with an 8-4 record and a trip to the postseason. Now, as the 2025 campaign approaches, there's a renewed sense of urgency and belief in Southeast Texas that the Titans are ready to break through and contend on a statewide level.   With several Division I-caliber returners, including multiple Power 5 commits, Memorial enters the fall with one of the most talented and balanced rosters in the region. From speed and athleticism on defense to size and power on offense, this group has the pieces to do something special.    King, an elite cornerback who brings track-level speed to the secondary, is a key piece in the Titans defense. A TCU commit, King has mastered the technical aspects of the position, displaying fluid hips, a clean backpedal, and mirror-match ability in man coverage. His explosiveness in and out of breaks and his recovery speed allow him to erase separation quickly.   King is also a dangerous special teams weapon, capable of flipping field position or taking a return to the house at any moment. He's a true three-phase impact player who gives the Titans an edge in both defense and special teams.     A tone-setter for the Titans' defense, King is an elite linebacker with the tools to dominate at the next level. At 6-foot-2, King brings a blend of sideline-to-sideline speed, violent hands, and the ability to diagnose plays quickly. Whether he's plugging gaps in the run game or coming off the edge as a blitzer, King consistently disrupts opposing offenses.   His physicality and technique allow him to shed blocks with ease, and he's shown an advanced understanding of leverage and pursuit angles. Committed to Texas A&M, King is already regarded as one of the top defensive players in the state for the class of 2026.     Though only a junior, Hudson has already emerged as a defensive leader for the Titans. At 6-foot-3 with long arms, Hudson is a physical defensive back who tackles well in the open field and takes pride in his physicality.   What separates Hudson is his ability to read the quarterback's eyes, break on the ball, and finish plays. He's fundamentally sound, with strong closing burst and positional versatility. Hudson is already attracting college interest with offers from North Texas, UCF, and UNLV, and he's poised for a breakout season in 2025.     Milson is a 6-foot-6, 260-pound tackle prospect with an impressive blend of size, footwork, and raw strength. Milson has ideal arm length for the position and flashes a powerful punch that stuns defenders at the point of contact. He's effective in both pass protection and the run game, with the lateral agility to handle speed rushers off the edge.   Milson holds offers from Texas Tech, Houston, Baylor, Kansas, Lamar, and Sacramento State and his stock is still rising. With Milson in the trenches, Memorial's offense has the foundation to be both explosive and physical.     Standing at 6-foot-5, Roberts is a nightmare matchup for opposing defenses. With long strides and elite ball skills, he can stretch the field vertically and dominate contested catches. His frame gives him a huge catch radius, and he regularly wins 50/50 balls with body control and high-point ability.   Roberts, committed to Houston, is more than just a red-zone threat. He's developed his route-running, understands leverage, and is a strong blocker on the perimeter. He will play a major role in the Titans' passing attack and could end up being one of the most productive wideouts in the region.     Martin is a TCU commit who brings a rare combination of power, vision, and home-run speed. At 6-foot-1 and 190 pounds, Martin can run through tackles, cut on a dime, and explode through holes with acceleration that leaves defenders grasping at air.   A true workhorse back, Martin thrives in both zone and gap schemes. His elite contact balance allows him to stay upright through arm tackles, while his cutback ability makes him a constant threat to reverse the field and break a long run. Expect Martin to be the focal point of Memorial's offense and one of the top backs in Texas.
