New England Region Class of 2026 – Spring/Summer Evaluation Period
What an exciting time it is for college football scouting in the New England region! After an extensive spring and summer evaluation period, we are thrilled to announce the addition of 157 new prospects to the Class of 2026 database of the Prep Redzone New England Top 400 Ranking list and our watch list! 🚀
The overwhelming majority of these new prospects are post-graduate student-athletes preparing to transfer or reclassify into New England prep schools, which significantly deepens our talent pool. We also noted a handful of fresh names emerging this season, along with a small contingent of straight transfers from public to private high schools. This update reflects a prospect and a recruit recruitment activities, verbal offers earned, and scout observations at spring and summer showcases and camps, which are known to New England scouts from March 1, 2025, to July 1, 2025. Below, I have detailed the number of prospects assessed during this update, along with the college division level our scouts predict they have the talent to compete at after high school. I want to remind all readers that the number next to a player's name is not the most crucial factor when reviewing our rankings. Instead, the key aspect is the projected college level at which each player was evaluated, which is essential for their recruitment. Grading Breakdown:
- A Grade (3 prospects): Major shoutout to our top-tier talents! These three athletes are projected to excel at NCAA Division 1 Major Power 4 programs. Their skill sets are simply outstanding, and we can't wait to see how they elevate their game at the next level! 🌟
- B Grade (11 prospects): A solid group of 11 new talents drawing attention for their potential to shine in Mid-Major D-1 programs or NCAA Top 75 programs, including Group of 5 colleges. This cohort is brimming with promise and will surely continue to develop into competitive athletes! 🏈
- C Grade (49 prospects): With 49 players graded at a C level, we are optimistic about their chances of making an impact at NCAA Division 1 (FCS) High Division 1aa level. They are poised to make significant contributions while honing their skills for further advancement.
- D Grade (42 prospects): These 42 athletes are graded with a D and show great potential to compete at the NCAA Division 1 (FCS) Low Division 1aa level. They may need to polish certain aspects of their game, but their work ethic and talent are evident!
- E Grade (25 prospects): Our E-graded group will projects prosepcts to be at the High NCAA Division 2 level. These athletes demonstrate promising skills and determination, and we are excited about their future paths.
- G Grade (20 prospects): Featuring a blend of talents suited for NCAA Low Division 2 and the High D3 level (including the New England Small College Athletic Conference - NESCAC), these prospects are ready to showcase their skills, and we expect growth from many of them!
- Watch List (10 prospects): We see potential in these 10 prospects, although they will need more development before being slotted into our ranking. This is merely the beginning for them or they will need a post-grad year to continue their recruitment, and we can't wait to see their progress!
As we dive into the fall 2025 season, the New England Prep Redzone Class of 2026 Ranking List has now rounded up to 400 total ranked prospects and 347 watch list prospects! This impressive cohort signifies a bright future in New England football, filled with athletes ready to make their marks on the college stage!
