[player_tooltip player_id='1200686' first='Seneca' last='Driver'] is our top-ranked player in the entire state in his class. Driver is a long, athletic tight end who is a very reliable target in the passing game. He runs routes like a receiver and has shown the speed to pose as a deep threat. Driver has also shown the physicality to fight through jams from opposing defensive backs with ease. Seneca finished his sophomore year with 24 receptions for 353 yards and seven touchdowns in 13 games. He also scored one rushing touchdown last season and made an impact on defense, finishing the year with 36 tackles, seven tackles for loss, and two sacks. Driver currently holds a long list of Power 4 offers and I expect that list to continue to grow as he is one of the best tight ends in the country.

[player_tooltip player_id='1200658' first='Maddox' last='Hager'] is another high-caliber tight end from Boyle County. He is very dependable in the passing game, showing the speed to pose as a vertical threat down the seams. Hager is also very impressive after the catch, showing the strength and speed as a ball carrier to pick up extra yards. Maddox finished this past season with seven catches for 144 yards and one touchdown in 13 games. Hager currently holds multiple Power 4/Division I offers and I expect more to come his way over the next couple seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id='1314810' first='Max' last='Hunt'] has been high on our radar since his freshman year. He is coming off another impressive season as a sophomore in which he caught a team-high 20 passes for 216 yards and two touchdowns in 11 games. Max lines up mainly out wide where he is a skilled route runner, using smooth breaks to create separation with ease. He is also impressive after the catch, showing the strength to break tackles while maintaining balance as a ball carrier. Hunt also played a key role on defense as a sophomore, finishing the season with 33 tackles, three tackles for loss, and three sacks. Max currently holds offers from Kentucky and Miami (OH), and I expect a lot of eyes to be on him heading into his junior year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1715690' first='Owen' last='Pitzer'] is a player who caught my attention when evaluating sophomore year film. Pitzer did a little bit of everything at the Covington Catholic last season, lining up mainly in an H-Back/tight end role. He is a very physical blocker in the open field, showing the initial punch to knock defenders off their feet with ease. Pitzer also showed some reliability as a pass catcher this past season, finishing with four receptions for 45 yards and a touchdown in 14 games. He was also used as a short yardage back, scoring five rushing touchdowns as a sophomore, and made an impact on defense at linebacker, finishing the year with 57 tackles, one sack and an interception. Owen currently holds an offer from Kentucky and I expect more offers to come his way over the next two seasons.

To wrap up our top five tight ends in the class of 2027 in the state of Kentucky, I have [player_tooltip player_id='1610707' first='Brice' last='LaFevers']. Brice is a versatile player on offense, showing the ability to line up as a true tight end, H-Back, and in the slot. He is a very reliable blocker in the run game, showing the ability to run his feet through contact to drive his man down the field with ease. Brice finishes his blocks with a ton of physicality, resulting in frequent pancake blocks. He also played a key role in the pass game, showing the speed to pose as a dangerous deep threat, finishing this past season with 16 receptions for 200 yards and two touchdowns in 12 games. Brice also made an impact on defense at outside linebacker, finishing the year with 38 tackles, five tackles for loss and two sacks. LaFevers doesn't currently hold any offers but he is a player who college coaches should keep an eye on over the next two seasons.
