[player_tooltip player_id='1715668' first='Jason' last='Briscoe'] earned a spot in our rankings with a strong sophomore season. On offense, Briscoe had a productive season at receiver, catching nine passes for 310 yards and four touchdowns in eight games. He does a great job of using his speed smooth breaks in his routes to create separation from opposing defensive backs with ease. Jason also proved to be a dangerous returner on special teams, returning on punt and a kickoff for touchdowns last season. He also played a key role on defense as a sophomore at corner where he proved to be very reliable in zone coverage. Briscoe does a great job of read route combinations then breaking on the ball with perfect timing to make a play when it is thrown his way. He finished his sophomore season with seven pass breakups and one interception which he returned for a touchdown. Briscoe also finished this past season with 30 tackles and four tackles for loss. Jason currently holds offers from Eastern Kentucky and UT Martin, and I expect more to come his way as he is a Division I caliber prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='1715672' first='Nathan' last='Pabst'] is another player who caught our attention as a sophomore. Pabst is an electric ball carrier out of the backfield who uses his explosive speed to burst into the open field and run away from the defense with ease. When defenders are able to catch up to him, he has shown the elusiveness to make them miss. Nathan finished this past season with 23 carries for 178 yards and three touchdowns in 15 games. He also showed the ability to make plays in the passing game both out of the slot and the backfield, catching 16 passes for 296 yards and five touchdowns. Pabst also made an impact on defense last season, finishing the year with 32 tackles, half a tackle for loss, and three interceptions (two returned for touchdowns). Nathan will be a player for college coaches to have on their radars over the next two seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id='1715673' first='Eli' last='Caudill'] stood out on both sides of the ball for Belfry last season. On offense, Caudill lines up at receiver where he does a great job of using smooth breaks in his routes to create separation. He is very dangerous after the catch, using his speed and elusiveness in the open field to turn short passes into big gains. Eli finished his sophomore year with 13 receptions for 245 yards and four touchdowns in 14 games. On defense, Caudill lines up at safety where he does a great job of filling the lane to provide run support, finishing this past season with 85 tackles. Eli will be a player to keep an eye on as his role on both sides of the ball continues to grow over the next two seasons.

My final notable new ATH in the class of 2027 in the state of Kentucky is [player_tooltip player_id='1715675' first='Dante' last='Davis']. Davis had a very impressive season at inside linebacker for Belfry as a sophomore. He is dominant against the run, showing the ability to read his keys then explode out of his stance and use his speed to get to the ball carrier before they can get going. Once he gets to the ball carrier, he does a great job of running his feet through contact, not allowing for any extra yards to be gained. Davis finished his sophomore year with 109 tackles in 14 games. He also finished this past season with two sacks and made an impact on offense, running the ball 19 times for 114 yards and a touchdown. Dante will be a player to keep a close eye on as he continues to develop over the next couple years.
