Camping Season: WNMU In Las Cruces

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>LAS CRUCES</strong> – Western New Mexico head coach Billy Hickman and the Cowboys coaching staff brought their 2025 camp tour to Las Cruces High School on Sunday morning.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Following the camp, WNMU reaffirmed its previous offer to 2026 Las Cruces QB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='853029' first='Gunnar' last='Guardiola']</strong> and extended offers to 2026 Las Cruces DB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1266523' first='Isaac' last='Gomez']</strong> and 2026 Centennial OL <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1672532' first='Lorenzo' last='Mendietta']</strong>.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Gomez ran the fastest 40 at the camp: 4.56 seconds. He was named DB MVP of the camp. Mendietta earned OL MVP honors. &nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Guardiola, who enters his third season as Las Cruces' full-time starting quarterback, edged 2027 Centennial QB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1604943' first='Ruiz' last='Laborin']</strong> for QB MVP honors. Laborin possesses great size (6-foot-3) and a strong, accurate throwing arm. He replaces New Mexico State signee Zaiden Davis as the Hawks' starting QB.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>2026 Santa Teresa QB <strong>Nick Vierra</strong> was also impressive.
