Additionally, he shows solid ball placement at all levels of the field. At wide receiver, he's a solid route runner with the ability to make defenders miss due to solid change of direction, balance, and lateral quickness. Amaya utilizes his initial quickness in pass protection, allowing him to establish the pocket, mirror defenders with solid lateral quickness, or anchor using his good lower body and hand strength to maintain control. He can swipe off initial punches and control as well.
