FORT MILL | The Prep RedZone Combine Series continued its spring tour Sunday with a stop in Fort Mill, South Carolina. With tons of talent on display, there is plenty to write about, and this certainly won't be the only content pumped out from the event.

With all the talent came standouts on the defensive side of the ball.

DEFENSIVE LINE

For now, there will be three defensive linemen highlighted with more to come in a later story. The first player that stood out upon arrival was [player_tooltip player_id='1603727' first='Alex' last='Johnson'] (Catawba Ridge). He was by far the lightest lineman in attendance at just 211 pounds, but what he lacked in size, he definitely made up for in speed. He's more of a defensive end type of player and his burst off the edge was extremely hard for any offensive lineman to block.

[player_tooltip player_id='1535102' first='Dylan' last='Stevens'] (North Augusta) was much more of the interior defensive lineman build a 6-foot-4 and 260 pounds. He has the physicality of a tough-nosed and gritty defensive lineman that is not afraid to get dirty in the trenches. [player_tooltip player_id='1404968' first='Jackson' last='Hill'] (Clover) on the other hand was more like Johnson. His speed is what allowed him to win at the line of scrimmage at a steady rate, and it makes sense that Hill had 13 sacks last season.

LINEBACKER

[player_tooltip player_id='1604061' first='Nigel' last='Rock'] (Hillcrest) highlighted a talented linebacker group, and he made quite an impression. Not only did his physicality stand out, but also the ability to get to the football in open space and cover running backs out of the backfield. For a 6-foot-2, 245-pound linebacker, Rock showcased some impressive speed and ball skills.

[player_tooltip player_id='1635381' first='Kaleb' last='Wright'] (Rock Hill) and [player_tooltip player_id='1532410' first='Zyian' last='McWhite'] (Blythewood) were more of the typical sideline to sideline linebackers, and their speed was shown from the beginning of the camp. Both showed excellent footwork in shuttle drills and then replicated that in individual and 1-on-1 drills with the running backs.

DEFENSIVE BACKS

The most talented group in attendance showcased some major playmakers and guys that will be game changers when the season rolls around. The group was headlined by [player_tooltip player_id='1670457' first='Maison' last='Tinsley'] (Clinton) and boy, did he put on a show. Tinsley (pictured above) made dang near every play he needed to in 1-on-1 drills. There wasn't a rep he took off and his energy was unmatched. Whether it was hyping up his other defensive backs or celebrating with coaches, he is no doubt the type of player you want on your team.

[player_tooltip player_id='1581476' first='Nasir' last='Angram'] (Byrnes) did much of the same and was also a lockdown corner in 1-on-1 drills. His footwork is excellent and even when he gets beat off the line, his speed allows him to catch up and have a chance to make a play. [player_tooltip player_id='1283361' first='Jaylon' last='Richardson'] (Catawba Ridge) was another product of Catawba Ridge and much like his teammate, Richardson's speed was surely his best trait. He frequently beat receivers to the spot and gave himself a chance to make a pay on the ball when it was thrown his way.
