In one of the state's most consistently sound programs, Herlich contributed on both sides of the ball as a junior last season. He piled up 38.5 Tackles (32 solo) and an interception as a defensive back. On offense, Herlich rushed for 249 yards (8.9 YPC) and a touchdown. He's intriguing as a ball carrier, with sharp cuts that make defenders miss in tight quarters. His quick acceleration often gets him around the edge and up the sideline. Defensively, Herlich is a versatile member of the secondary capable of stuffing the run or locking down in coverage. He diagnoses plays fast and flies to the football as he shows during his junior highlight video.

During a rollercoaster season for Northwest, Van Horn was a steady presence on the team's defense. He racked up 41.0 tackles (31 solo). Van Horn's junior highlight video reveals an active performer on the second level. He diagnoses plays pre-snap and flies to the football. Van Horn gets off of and around blocks with quickness and strong hands. He runs well sideline to sideline, coverging a lot of the field. Those assets also help Van Horn in coverage, where he can stick with receivers.

Washington's opponents probably thought they were seeing more than one Williams during the 2024 campaign. As a junior, he rushed for 528 yards and six touchdowns, caught 13 passes for 215 yards and four scores, delivered 39.5 tackles (16 solo, 4.5 TFL), intercepted two balls, one being a Pick-6, and returned a kick to the house. That's a lot of contributions, many of which he shows during his 11th-grade highlight video. Williams is a patient ball carrier with good vision. He allows his blocks to set up and shifts through the openings. He can outrun opponents in the open field. His defensive highlights are limited on his film but you can see how his skills would work on that side of the ball.

A key member of a Carroll defense that helped the program reach the playoffs last season, Polking contributed a team-high 52.5 tackles (17 solo, 1.5 TFL) as a junior. He also intercepted a pass and recovered a fumble. Polking's 11th-grade highlight video is a fun watch. It shows a impactful linebacker with a broad set of skills. The first clip has him dropping into coverage, reading the quarterback and intercepting the ball. Other plays confirm his effectiveness against the run. He diagnoses what's coming quickly and flows well to ball. Polking also is a special-team asset.

On an offense with plenty of mouths to feed, Combe found ways to eat. The junior caught six touchdowns among his 19 overall receptions, which were good for 282 yards. Combe shows how he succeeds during his 11th-grade highlight video. He's a well-rounded receiver capable of making defenders miss in space or stretch the field with the speed to get deep. Combe runs crisp routes and has a good feel for breaking them off or adjusting them when needed.

Sedgwick proved to be a headache for opponents on both sides of the ball last season. Among his 27.0 tackles (10 solo) as a D-Lineman were 5.0 stops for loss and a pair of sacks. He also kicked butt playing on the O-Line. He illustrates how he gets the job done during his junior highlight video. Much of the success stems from his athleticism and physicality. They benefit him when blocking as he can pave the way in close quarters or pick guys off in space. Defensively, his quickness and burst make corralling him difficult.
