It's time, it's time, it's update time.

I have been sitting on a couple of these names for a few days, as I wanted to wait until after last night's first round of the NFL Draft.

It is every young football player's dream to get dressed to the nines and hug Roger Goodell after their name is called in the NFL Draft.

News moves so fast on social media these days, perhaps too fast, but it is a useful tool for young athletes to get noticed.

Here is a recruiting update from Kansas that includes one commitment, three offers, and one of the top talents in the Sunflower State narrowing down his recruitment to five schools.

[player_tooltip player_id='595720' first='Lamarcus' last='Barber'], OL, 6'3”, 290, Mill Valley, '26 (Kansas State)

Barber recently announced on social media that he has verbally committed to Kansas State University. He is ranked No. 37 overall in the Prep Redzone Rankings and is the sixth-ranked offensive lineman. The choice of this physical lineman should surprise no one who follows him on X. Almost every post the young man shares has a purple tint to it.

[player_tooltip player_id='1229117' first='Ian' last='Premer'], TE, 6'6”, 225, Great Bend, '26

Premer is the top-ranked uncommitted athlete in the Kansas Class of 2026. The Great Bend tight end announced the five finalists he is considering attending this week. His final five schools are Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Michigan, and Notre Dame. He received close to 30 Division I offers. His commitment will be big-time news when he announces it. Premer is ranked No. 6 overall in the Kansas Class of 2026 and is the No. 1 tight end.

[player_tooltip player_id='986134' first='Noah' last='Kobuszewski'], ATH, 6'4”, 235, Seaman, ‘26

So, for clarification, the Seaman prospect has the toughest name to type and spell correctly in the Kansas Class of 206. He announced on social media this week that he has received a new offer from Northwest Missouri State. He is ranked No. 13 overall by Prep Redzone. The Seaman athlete is also being courted by Kansas State and has an invite to camps at Iowa State. Several other Division II programs are also recruiting Kobuszewski.

[player_tooltip player_id='1566706' first='Brody' last='Shearer'], DL, 6'0”, 275, Lincoln, ‘26

Lincoln's Shearer continues to be a busy man this spring. He announced this week that he has a new offer from Friends University. He is ranked No. 79 overall in the Kansas Class of 2026. He has multiple camp invites and is working hard on and off the field to get noticed by college coaches.

[player_tooltip player_id='1622492' first='Easten' last='Smith'], TE/DL, 6'2”, 220, Dodge City, ‘26

Smith is currenlty unranked, but is all set to be added to the rankings when they are updated this summer before the season starts. He has received an offer to play for McPherson College. Smith plays tight end, defensive end, and long snaps. He could also be very busy this summer as he has received camp invites from Washburn, Baker, and Kansas Wesleyan.
