Film Room: 2026 Western Suburbs Wide Receivers Pt 1

During the offseason we will be breaking down the film of all the top prospects from across the state ahead of our massive 2026 rankings update in the upcoming months! Here is a look at some of the wide receivers in the 2026 class in Film Room: 2026 Western Suburbs Wide Receivers Pt 1!    Washington is one of the truly elite pass catchers in this class. He is a major vertical threat that is absolute money on the deep post route as he caught TD after TD in that fashion. Easy acceleration, natural hands, fluid routes, and adjusts to deep ball. Works well to find space and has crisp cuts on short and intermediate routes. He also might be the best kick returner in the state as he has tremendous feel for taking it to the house. Will definitely be doing this at the next level.     Reinke is a 6'3" 190 pound pass catcher that had 80 catches for 1218 yards and 18 total TDs as a junior. He has excellent size and what really stands out is how elite he is getting in and out of routes. High points and makes plays on the deep ball with his strong hands. Wins in contested catch situations and tracks well in the air. Good speed in the open field. Makes catches on the sideline and wins in traffic consistently.     Walker is a tall and long wide receiver from Nazareth at 6'3". Natural pass catcher with good hands and is a deep threat. Gets off press coverage and is fluid as a route runner. Creates leverage vs the DB. Finds weak spots and sits down in it. Excellent on comeback routes and is a chain mover. Lot of physical upside here.     The first thing that stands out about this 5'10" slot wide out is his willingness and effectiveness making catches over the middle. Consistently does it. Elusive after the catch. Creates separation from defenders including using shake at the top of his routes when approaching a defensive back. Several times he made them look absolutely silly.     Morris is a home run threat with the ball in his hands. Can take it to the house with explosive speed. Makes difficult and acrobatic catches downfield. Great hands over the middle and is a smooth route runner.     Thulin is a 5'10" slot that is quick and tough! He is at his best going over the middle or using his shake on short routes to get open. Very sure hands and is excellent getting in and out of cuts. When going downfield he tracks it well and makes difficult catches. Tough to bring down in the open field. Takes a lot of pride in his blocking!     The Wheaton St. Francis 5'10" pass catcher has sure hands and makes catches in traffic particularly over the middle. Acrobatic catches in the air. Crisp route runner tht gets off the line well. Racks up YAC. Finds space in the endzone.     Robinson is a good athlete at 6'0" that is super smooth getting in and out of his cuts. Natural hands that is at his best on short and intermediate routes, but does has some downfield ability as well. Effective on reverse runs. Good overall athlete that is shifty after the catch.     Manikas is a 5'11" 175 pound pass catcher with good hands. Explosive breaks in the open field with the ball in his hands. Tough possession wide receiver that gets YAC. Solid blocker.
