2026 Film Review: QB Breakout Candidates for 2025

<p>During the off-season, we have conducted an extensive film review of hundreds of prospects in the Natural State. This article will focus on potential breakout quarterback prospects in the class of 2026. Here are five signal callers who I believe will demonstrate their skills in 2024:</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1627941' first='Blake' last='Forsgren'] flew under the radar last season but is expected to take that next leap in the upcoming 2025 season. </p>   <p class="text-gray-700">Forsgren possesses solid awareness and feel in the pocket post-snap, allowing him to recognize pressure effectively and evade it while keeping his eyes downfield. Forsgren displays solid ball placement near the boundary when attacking the short to intermediate levels of the field. </p>   <p class="text-gray-700">Note – 3.6 GPA</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/BlakeForsgren5/status/1902128995392454982 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1508043' first='Maddox' last='Berry'] was named to the 5A All-State team in 2024, completing 4,223 passing yards, 57 touchdowns, and a 61% completion rate. He has already showcased what he can do, but I believe his recruiting will take off this summer and during his senior season. </p>   <p>Berry is a dual-threat quarterback who can be effective with both designed runs and RPOs. He displays quick decision-making post-snap, efficiently delivering the ball to his primary read with solid ball placement. He generates good velocity through his hips, allowing him to deliver the ball into tight windows with solid anticipation to lead his receivers off breaks. He also performed well at our Showcase camp back in January.</p>   <p class="text-gray-700">Wolcott possesses solid mechanics and footwork in the pocket. He is a good decision-maker, capable of progressing through multiple reads post-snap. His strong arm allows him to deliver the ball across all levels of the field with good placement and anticipation, effectively setting up his receivers. In 2024, he threw for 3,395 yards with a 65% completion rate and recorded 42 touchdowns through the air.</p>   <p class="text-gray-700">Little displays solid footwork inside the pocket, stepping into his throws with solid torque through the hips. He possesses solid pocket mobility, allowing him to extend plays and continue to throw on the run with solid ball placement off-platform. He has good blitz processing and good pocket awareness, as he can diagnose and anticipate areas where the pocket breaks down post-snap. He demonstrates solid decision-making ability, showing command in the offense and having the ability to direct receivers out of traffic.
