The Prep Redzone 7v7 Circuit made a couple stops this weekend and one of them came in the Omaha, Nebraska area for the first time. The weather was rough but every team battled throughout the weekend and we saw some great football being played in every age division. Keep it locked into Prep Redzone Nebraska and some of our neighboring state sites for more breakdowns on all the action. In this post, we're putting the spotlight on the 12U division with four quarterbacks that really stood out to us throughout the two days in Nebraska!

Carter Roberts - 2030 QB - Spirit Elite White (Nebraska)

We kicked off the day on Saturday with the 12U division and 2030 quarterback Carter Roberts was one of the first guys that stood out to us on Saturday. Roberts played for the Spirit Elite White squad out of the Omaha area and he's the lone Nebraska quarterback on this breakdown. Roberts defended the home turf with consistency and accuracy. The weather was bad this weekend. No other way to put it and it wasn't an ideal situation for quarterbacks but Roberts was battling. That was the thing that stood out the most to us. He made some big time throws but more importantly, he was battling through the weather and always had his head up and ready for the next rep.

Mason Hericks - 2031 QB - Oilers (South Dakota)

We had a handful of 6th graders that really impressed us throughout the weekend in Nebraska. Now, they have so much football left to play but guys like Mason Hericks really impressed with his ability to throw the ball down the field. Hericks really impressed us on Saturday in particular. He played really well and didn't make too many mistakes. He was ready to compete and was consistently getting the ball to the open man and more importantly, he was putting the ball where it needed to be to allow his receiver to make a play after the catch. Making the trip down from South Dakota, Hericks stood out with his consistency and his control of the offense throughout the weekend.

Tristan Jacobs - 2030 QB - Epic 7 (Missouri)

Because of the schedules, we weren't able to see Epic 7 on Saturday but we got a chance to watch their two bracket play games on Sunday and we saw quarterback Trsitan Jacobs lead his offense with efficiency. When we look back at the whole 12U division as a whole, we thought that Jacobs was one of the more impressive quarterbacks in attendance this weekend. After the team had their struggles on Saturday, they bounced back instantly with a solid win to start the day on Sunday. Jacobs was in full command and didn't make a bad pass. And like we've mentioned a few times, the weather was less than ideal but Jacobs rose to the occasion and had a solid showing.

Wyatt Haug - 2031 QB - Level Up Select (Iowa)

Level Up Select absolutely rolled throughout the two days but they came up short in the 12U championship game on Sunday. However, 2031 quarterback Wyatt Haug had a really strong showing in the Omaha area and was right there among the best quarterbacks in attendance that we watched. Haug was really solid on Saturday in particular, he made some big time throws that caught our attention. Now, it should be mentioned that he had some absolute ballers at the wide receiver position and we'll get to those guys in a later article. But Haug, like every other quarterback, had to battle wind, rain and sleet to get the ball from Point A to Point B and he was among the best in the division with that.
