The Watch List: Prospects Who Caught Our Eye Over the Weekend

Welcome back to The Watch List!   We have some seriously talented prospects to show you this week- these guys really stood out to us over this past weekend and are set up for huge seasons this fall!   As always, be sure to check out their tape below!    [player_tooltip player_id='1640564' first='Noah' last='Moss'] is a really dynamic RB/ATH out of St. Michael Catholic who played really well last fall and has earned a bunch of collegiate interest since the end of the season.   Moss is a quick, versatile playmaker on offense who utilizes his size, speed, and hands out of the backfield and out wide to come up with some huge plays. Moss is really fast, has great vision, and does a great job finding rushing lanes and following his blockers to maximize each carry. On top of that, Moss runs some really nice routes, gains lots of separation, and can cause some serious damage after the catch with how well he makes defenders miss in the open field.   Moss made plays all over the field last fall, ending his junior season with 252 carries for 1805 yards and 32 TDs on the ground, 44 receptions for 530 yards and 3 TDs through the air, and 12 total tackles (8 for loss) and 4 sacks on defense.   Moss has picked up offers from Princeton, Army, and Air Force this offseason, and with his talent, I expect more programs to reach out his way. Moss put together some great tape from last season you can see below, it's going to be really exciting seeing what he can do in his senior season this fall.      [player_tooltip player_id='1644208' first='Louis' last='Pickens'] is a really talented TE/WR prospect out of Foley who is coming off a big junior season last fall where he made tons of plays as a pass catcher and blocker in his team's offense.   At 6'5 250, Pickesn is a matchup nightmare for opposing DBS- he does a terrific job using his size to his advantage and requires multiple defenders to cover and bring him down. Pickens also moves really well at his size, he's quick, can get downfield fast, and has top-end speed that allows him to separate himself and outrun entire defenses.   I'm really impressed with Pickens' hands- he's a reliable pass catcher who can haul in receptions through contact and over the tops of defenders. On top of that, he thrives as a blocker in the run game and consistently helps open up wide rushing lanes at the line of scrimmage and in the open field.   Pickens is a guy who should be on everyone's radar this fall, he's a huge mismatch for defenses and is set up for a big senior season in Foley's passing attack, just watch.      [player_tooltip player_id='1367461' first='Courtney' last='Maxwell'] is a sophomore OL prospect out of Daphne who has made a huge impact upfront for his team's rushing and passing attacks.   Maxwell is a really versatile OL prospect who has spent time at LT and RT and provided some really impressive pass protection and blocks in the run game last season. At 6'5 305, Maxwell does a great job using his size to his advantage, especially in pass pro. Maxwell is an anchor on whichever side he lines up on and has the size, power, and leverage to completely shut down whoever is coming off the edge- providing tons of time and a clean pocket for his QB every passing down.   Maxwell is just as impressive in the run game- he moves really well, opens up huge lanes, and works from level to level to pave the way for his teammates to make huge plays on the ground.   Maxwell is already playing at a high level as just a sophomore, be sure to watch his film below- he's a really intriguing and talented prospect who's heading into a big junior year.      [player_tooltip player_id='1644209' first='Jason' last='Todd'] is a really talented ATH out of Mobile Christian who has lined up and produced on both sides of the ball as a dynamic RB and lockdown DB.   Although really productive on the defensive side of the ball, Todd truly shines at the RB position- making huge impacts for both his team's rushing and passing attack from the backfield. Todd is quick, has great vision, and has terrific contract balance- he requires multiple tacklers to bring him down, and sometimes that's still not enough. On top of that, Todd is just as productive as a pass catcher- he has a reliable set of hands and can easily turn upfield for huge gains in the secondary, it's seriously impressive how many different ways he impacts the game.   Todd was really productive last season, ending his junior year with 161 carries for 1319 yards and 13 TDs on the ground, 19 receptions for 264 yards and 3 TDs through the air, and 63 total tackles and 3 INTs on defense.   With production like that, Todd has had a lot of teams reach out to him this offseason, picking up offers from Samford, Air Force, Army, and more.   Do yourself a favor and check out Todd's film below, he's a really talented two-way player with a huge senior season ahead this fall.      [player_tooltip player_id='1634478' first='Keoni' last='Snipes'] is a 2028 EDGE/DL prospect out of Saraland that I'm really excited to watch over the next few years.   Snipes has a lot of traits you just can't teach. Only a freshman, he stands at 6'5 230 and has a ton of strength and quickness at the position that will seriously help him be a dominant defender.   Watching his clips from the You Are Athlete camp out in Birmingham earlier this offseason, it's clear Snipes has a great first step off the snap and already has a wide variety of moves he uses to work his way around OL to get to the quarterback.   Something that stood out to me with Snipes is just how hard he's been working this offseason- he's been to several camps and has documented a lot of his training on Twitter, it's clear he has a serious work ethic and is doing whatever he can to become a better player. That is massive for a freshman.   Keep an eye on Snipes going forward, I expect his role in Saraland's defense to increase a ton this fall and beyond- he's a talented defender with a big career ahead.
