River Ridge Building On 2024 Success

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>When they raced out to a 6-0 start to begin the 2024 season, all eyes statewide were on head coach <strong>Fred Reid</strong> and the New Port Richey River Ridge Knights.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prior to the first loss of the season to unbeaten state power Trinity Mitchell, this program had started to turn the corner and win games that in the past they most likely would have lost.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Coming off a 4-7 record in 2023, all this team wanted to do last season was make the playoffs and give it a solid run in District 10-4A.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>While their loss to Clearwater dashed the hopes of winning a district title and sent them reeling to four losses in the final five games, this was a program that reached a first-round state playoff game, giving them plenty of confidence as they headed into the off-season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>With the 2025 season now in plain view, the 7-4 record they finished with is only a steppingstone to where this program could be this year.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph -->
