Brody shows off quick on tape a 2027 prospect that has good capability with his hands in high traffic areas. The two athlete out of Sturgis Brown, also shows off well-versed vision during the tape eval as a linebacker and despite being quite undersized, I liked how much strength he could gather getting off his sheds as a prospect that commonly plays bigger than the measurables might tell you. He seems to quick to identify the ball carrier with his athletic movment as I consistently liked his pursuit angles at the ball carriers he went up against on tape. An athlete that I like the position flexibility he can gather over the next couple seasons for the Scoopers.

The Pierre Governors starting center is one that right now might not hit the threshold yet for measurables, but the athleticism Bryson shows getting to the second level is surely intriguing as this kid is great on his feet. Bryson also shows off intriguing pad-level that seems to always be on point when I grade out his tape reps that I watched from the 2024 season. This young man is sound when it comes to his technqiue for his age and is one that could be a stockriser if he can grow out his frame and gather more strength at the point of attack.

The little brother of Mount Marty commit [player_tooltip player_id='321191' first='Jamir' last='Byrd'], JaKobe enters as a newcomer to our rankings as our DB7 in the 2027 class. The 5'8 145 pounder from Sioux Falls Lincoln shows off quick on tape as a cornerback that can push the ball out of a bigger wide receiver with his persistence tracking the ball. He seems like a cornerback that has a solid football IQ and one that will continue to grow in the coming years and JaKobe. His presence gets even better when you watch his tracking ability on deep routes, as Jakobe consistently shows a 2027 corner that is usually in the right spot at the right time. One that I can already guarantee that will rise in this class.

Ryan is on the lighter side tape wise, but has the impressive measurables, a powerlifting background, and good track numbers to verify at the wide receiver position for the Roughriders. The 6'1 200 pounder I can tell is putting together great open field vision to create space on short routes and I feel at his size he has more fluid suddenness that will show more as he gets olders and develops his craft even further. A wide receiver that we will have to wait and see when that upside grows, but it's certainly there for the taking.

The 5'8 170 pounder from Rapid City Stevens, is another cornerback in this 2027 class to watch for in the coming years. This kid has fluid change of direction getting down to the ball and with that downhill ability comes with ample physicality while he lays down his contact,, and the consistency that shows is evident on multiple reps I have watched. Joshua not only has that COD, but this young man has solid upside with his physicality too getting his blocks and is one that can create more balance to land his fighting hands to get downhill even quicker upcoming.
