There are times I get so busy that I forget to keep track of new followers on X and don't always remember to follow them back.

With no NCAA Tournament games being played and since we are just a couple of days away from MLB's Opening Day, I decided to play some catch-up.

Here is a quick video analysis of five athletes who have already figured out how important social media can be in the recruiting process.

Gavin Ralston, DL, 6'0”, 180, Augusta, ‘25

Ralston is an unranked defensive lineman who has followed me on X. He has multiple college offers but appears to be still uncommitted. He has offers from Mississippi Christian Community College and Sterling. He gets good separation and closes in on a ball carrier like a wolf closing in on a deer. He is strong and can play in the interior or on the edge.

[player_tooltip player_id='1615986' first='Rendor' last='Hada'], DL/TE, 6'1”, 205, Maize, ‘27

Hada is young talent to keep track of. He recently followed me on social media. His quickness is quickly noticeable on his tape. He wraps on tackles and can be disruptive in the backfield. Hada gets off the ball like he has been launched out of a cannon. He is currently ranked No. 284 in the Kansas Class of 2027.

[player_tooltip player_id='1594487' first='Curtis' last='Campa'], LB, 5'9”, 170, Clearwater, ‘27

Campa is a young linebacker whose film I liked. He recorded 68 tackles as a sophomore, and finished with three TFLs. He plays middle linebacker in a 4-3 seven-man front. He can fast-flow to the ball carrier and also drop back and play coverage. He is currently ranked No. 127 overall by Prep Redzone Kansas.

[player_tooltip player_id='1620511' first='Keelyn' last='Duncan'], ATH/RB, 5'11”, 175, Eudora, ‘28

Duncan had a solid freshman season and played in five varsity games. He rushed for 235 yards on 34 carries and caught five balls for 81 yards and two touchdowns. He can flat-out lay guys out as a lead blocker. He has the combination of size and speed to play just about anywhere on the field. He is currenlty ranked No. 100 overall in the Class of 2028. He could be a fast riser in the rankings and makes me want to check out a Eudora game next season.

Joel McDonnel, LB, 5'9”, 145, Shawnee Mission South, ‘29

McDonnel followed me on X after I reached out looking for athletes to add to the Class of 2029's initial player rankings. He plans to attend Shawnee Mission South. He already has a HUDL account with video of his play with Indian Woods Middle School. It shows a ton of initiative on his part and that he already understands how the recruiting process works. He looks quick and is not afraid to stick his head into a ball carrier.
