I'm excited to see how these WRs fare during camp season! These WRs are ranked toward the bottom of the positional rankings, but still- anyone who is ranked is a great high school football player. Plus, I think that most of these WRs have a legit chance of getting recruited this Spring! Here are my updated opinions of each of these five receivers.

Boyne City was high on the list of teams I wanted to see last season, and Owen is a big reason behind that! First off- watch the tape. Owen has some fun highlights.

What I like most about Owen's game is that he always plays fast. The first highlight showcases a creatively designed run right up the gut. Owen breaks a few tackles stiff arms a defender, and earns a tough first down. Then, his next couple of highlights show a few great deep catches. That's pretty much his tape- a couple of plays designed for him, and Owen seems to have found a lot of success last season. Owen does need to significantly improve his route running and overall fluidity. He looks like a solid athlete- though he needs polish.

Too low? Honestly, probably.

Braylon had a nice season for Hudsonville, including some great postseason performances. Most notably, Braylon is a great route runner. Several good comebacks, and good timing with his QB. Plus, a good couple of screens and blocks.

I love Braylon's foundation. He's a good route runner and obviously has great coaching. The couple of things that hold Braylon back are A. Size and B. Lack of explosive plays.

Size speaks for itself. Very, very hard to be recruited at WR at any size. With the explosive plays, Braylon should work on speed and/or contact balance to give him a higher floor.

Zayne had some very bright moments during his 2024 season!

His first highlight shows a great slot fade and absolutely blown coverage. Good TD to kick off the tape. Next, a solid drag/slant route at the goalline, outrunning the DB and earning separation. The rest of Zayne's tape shows more solid routes and decent separation. He's a very good high school wide receiver!

From a recruiting standpoint, Zayne needs to stand out this offseason. I like his burst off the line of scrimmage, so I hope he's able to show that alongside consistently good routes. If he can play good, sound football, I could see D3 offers.

Quinlyn was a very consistent two-way player for Allendale. Offensively, he's a great possession target. His first two highlights showcase average comeback routes and a good possession catches. Then, his tape transitions to defense and special teams. Defeneisvely (DB), he's able to showcase his athletic ability a little more. His pass defense highlights show above-average speed as he seems to easily stick with receivers downfield. Also, Quinlyn is a solid, but not overly impressive, run defender.

Like everyone in this article, Quinlyn is a great high school football player. I hope he's able to attend college camps this offseason and earn an offer.

Another guy who is likely ranked too low. Upon watching his tape again, I totally missed with the ranking- Mikah could be a big sleeper.

Mikah is 6'2", has a great athletic profile, and he's a dual-sport athlete (basketball). Plus, his highlights show great flashes. The beginning of his tape shows a decent comeback route but great catch on a high pass. Second, an even better comeback route and a good possession catch. Not a ton of receiving highlights, but I'm very intrigued by the explosiveness and catch radius. Quick note- Mikah also has plenty of blocking highlights.

Mikah could be a sleeper. Holt's offense struggled a lot this season, and that's not the fault of him. I think that Mikah has a chance to truly shine this offseason, and I hope to see offers come his way.
