There is a lot that will transpire over the next 6 months before the season starts with athletes likely to transfer and bolster other rosters. Here we will take a look at the top 20 teams in Oregon regardless of classification heading into next year. This will be a general breakdown with so much still unknown.

#11-20 https://prepredzone.com/2025/02/way-too-early-oregon-6a-5a-4a-combined-top-20-11-20/

1.Lake Oswego

Reigning 6A POY [player_tooltip player_id='402416' first='Lamarcus' last='Bell'] and D1 QB [player_tooltip player_id='402409' first='Hudson' last='Kurland'] return, along with numerous other top prospects, from a team that played in the state title game losing to West Linn. 2027 standout [player_tooltip player_id='936920' first='Jasiah' last='Agnimel'] has already made the transfer and there could be other high-profile athletes doing the same.

2.West Linn

The Lions are loaded top to bottom but won't have a Sam Leavitt or [player_tooltip player_id='406774' first='Baird' last='Gilroy'] leading them at QB which is a big deal. Separate from that, they are as talented as any team in the NW with [player_tooltip player_id='632957' first='Josiah' last='Molden'] ranked one of the top players in America. They have gone 34-3 with two state titles over the last three years, so LO will need to show up and prove themselves.

3.Central Catholic

QB [player_tooltip player_id='914302' first='Robbie' last='Long'] was one of Oregon's breakout POY's this past season and he will be back. They will also feature two of the top RB's in the region with [player_tooltip player_id='402427' first='Tyson' last='Davis'], and [player_tooltip player_id='402415' first='Killian' last='Sombe'] back from injury, and holding multiple D1 offers. The biggest question marks will come after graduating a solid line along with standout WR's D'Mareion Gates and [player_tooltip player_id='1094734' first='Landon' last='Kelsey'] who is headed to Arizona.

4.Lakeridge

Once again on paper the Pacers look like they can play with anybody. I could see [player_tooltip player_id='769915' first='Noah' last='Tishendorf'] holding offers from some of the top programs in the country before he's done, with [player_tooltip player_id='402418' first='Marcus' last='Post'] having a stock that is rising quickly. A lot will depend on QB play with [player_tooltip player_id='284120' first='Drew' last='Weiler'] showing up big as a junior. He will have a nice line up front with his 6-6 brother [player_tooltip player_id='402412' first='Joe' last='Weiler'] and 6-7 320-pound monster [player_tooltip player_id='914288' first='Carter' last='Paul'] blocking for him.

5.Tualatin

The T-Wolves graduate multiple D1 guys but have maybe the state's top youth group coming up. Rising 6-6 tackle prospect Connor LaGrow looks like the real deal and 6-4 TE [player_tooltip player_id='1110964' first='Cole' last='Newton'] will play D1 ball, with 2027 RB [player_tooltip player_id='937241' first='Cole' last='Hachmeister'] projecting as a 1st team all-state athlete the next two seasons. That said as they will be young and inexperienced.

6.Willamette

Wait what.. Willamette? The Wolverines went 0-9 at the 5A level two seasons ago, but had a turnaround season at 8-2 last year, with one of the nation's top DE's in [player_tooltip player_id='739439' first='Tony' last='Cumberland'] transferring in from Arizona. He will likely be joined by many others, including 6-3 305-pound DT [player_tooltip player_id='1636610' first='Viliami' last='Moala'] from Utah, who is also committed to the Ducks.

7.Mountainside

The Mavericks won their first Metro title in school history last season and have a bunch of all league/all state talent returning. This is a wait and see with a lot of potential movement.

8.Jesuit

Two-way standout [player_tooltip player_id='770006' first='Joe' last='Stimpson'] has one of the fastest rising stocks in the NW, holding multiple D1 offers, with 6-7 tackle [player_tooltip player_id='770046' first='Quinn' last='Wicklow'] being another kid who could blow up. Look for the Crusaders to be back in the mix and in the championship bracket, with the current OSAA playoff format being questionable at best.

9.Grants Pass

As mentioned multiple times, the GP community has to be stoked about the young talent coming up through the ranks. 1st team all-league sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='796694' first='Jordan' last='Rossetta'] broke a handful of records at QB last season and has key all conference perimeter guys surrounding him. If they can get some line play the sky's the limit.

10.Sheldon

I've always been an advocate of the Irish program, with the team going 10-1 this past year, and losing by a TD to state champ West Linn in the playoffs. That said as they will graduate multiple D1 guys including POY [player_tooltip player_id='527032' first='Mana' last='Tuioti'], with other featured athletes transferring.
