Here's a player I think is primed to rise among recruiting boards this season with a strong camp cycle. Norfolk OL [player_tooltip player_id='1556220' first='Taytum' last='Anderson'] possesses great size at 6'4" and 295 pounds with solid length that helps him corral up pass rushers from the tackle position. Quick to fire out of his stance with a good initial punch to stun defenders at the point of attack. He maintains a consistent pad level when engaged with defenders and has a strong base that keeps him from giving up ground. Watch for Taytum to hammer down on the details this summer and come back a beast in the fall!

[player_tooltip player_id='1625843' first='Maddex' last='McConnell'] (@MaddexM19035), TE/DL - Paxton - 6'4" 205 lbs

This was an interesting find during this update, as Paxton's [player_tooltip player_id='1625843' first='Maddex' last='McConnell'] possesses the athleticism and measurables to play on either side of the ball at the next level. Playing six-man, it's hard to pinpoint exactly where Maddex will play in college, but he does project very well as a tight end or an outside linebacker/EDGE. At 6'4" and 205, Maddex already has the size and length that coaches at the next level look for, with room to continue growing into his frame. McConnell possesses a great motor that allows him to run from snap to whistle while displaying great range. He showed he could play in space as an off-ball linebacker, dropping into coverage with good sideline-to-sideline capabilities. McConnell also spent some time with his hand in the dirt at the line of scrimmage, providing a great push that allowed him to penetrate the backfield and blow up plays. Still some rawness to his game, but the high ceiling is there!

[player_tooltip player_id='1625808' first='Olliver' last='Davis'] (@DavisOlliver), WR/ATH - Cozad - 6'0" 185 lbs

Haymaker seems fitting for receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1625808' first='Olliver' last='Davis'], who beat defenses up left and right during his breakout season. As a junior, Olliver hauled in 52 catches for 747 yards and 11 touchdowns, also getting in the endzone with a rushing score and recording 50 tackles, 3 TFLs, 1.5 sacks, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery. Olliver certainly has the talent to play on either side of the ball at the collegiate level, but his upside at receiver will garner the majority of the attention. Olliver is a skilled receiver who can run a diverse route tree while showing he can be moved along the line of scrimmage and sent in motion to maximize his play-making abilities. Natural hands with the strength to hold on through contact. Davis has underrated speed, with a reported 4.68 40-yard time, which shows on tape with his ability to explode off the line and quickly slip past defenders downfield. Great burst after the catch makes him a threat to tack on break away for a big play. Get this guy on your board ASAP!

[player_tooltip player_id='488103' first='Gavin' last='Haubold'] (@Gavin_Haubold), RB - Grand Island Northwest - 6'0" 195 lbs

Grand Island Northwest's [player_tooltip player_id='488103' first='Gavin' last='Haubold'] is a player who I believe will take on a bigger role in 2025 and is primed for a breakout senior campaign. With growing pains for the Vikings' offense and an injury-shortened season, Gavin couldn't put up monster numbers (230 rushing yards and four touchdowns), but he did show a tremendous amount of upside. Offensively, Gavin is a versatile runner with 4.55 speed that can burn defenses if he can gain the corner, or he can drop the shoulder pad to run through a defender's chest. He has great contact balance that keeps him upright through tackle attempts with natural, shifty feet that allow him to spin, cut, and juke around defenders. Good vision and following of blocks. Haubold also impressed with his receiving ability, tacking on 118 yards on seven receptions. Solid prospect ready to take off!

[player_tooltip player_id='1625792' first='Gatlin' last='Davidson'] (@gatdavidson53), OL/DL - Stanton - 5'11" 220 lbs

Over the last two seasons, the Stanton '25 group has received a majority of the headlines during an exceptional run. However, one name that shouldn't get lost in the shuffle is junior [player_tooltip player_id='1625792' first='Gatlin' last='Davidson'], who was a crucial two-way trench beast for the Mustangs and will be back next year. Gatlin finished the season second on the team in tackles with 108 and two sacks and helped pave the way for the offense to rush for nearly 5,000 yards. Although Davidson would be marked as "undersized," he is an extremely strong player and uses his leverage very well, which helps overpower opponents. He also makes up for his size by being explosive off the ball and bringing a mean edge to the field. He has excellent "pop" in his hands and is always looking to finish his blocks in the dirt. Good footwork when engaged with his opponents with the leg drive to move them off their spot. Defensively, I was impressed with his use of hands to disengage from blocks and how well he can plug up lanes while still keeping himself in the play. Playmaker with a championship pedigree!!
