Lennard Has Plenty of Motivation In ’25

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As head coach <strong>K.B. Belton</strong> and his (Ruskin) Lennard football team reflected on the 2024 season, it was indeed a tale of two halves.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Racing out to a 6-0 start, this was a program that grabbed the attention of fans locally as well as throughout the state, beating Dade City Pasco, Riverview Spoto, Tampa Blake, Fort Myers Gateway, Tampa Leto and Bradenton Lakewood Ranch. But it was the final four games that ended up telling the story.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>While beating Lakewood Ranch and Gateway were positive, the District 11-6A race came down to games against Palmetto and Parrish Community that the Longhorns lost and took themselves out of the state playoff race.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As they headed into the off-season, there was a sense of optimism and wanting to make sure what happened down the stretch will not happen in 2025.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>If this team is to make the post season, it will be the rising senior (2026) class that will need to step up and use the talent and leadership they have coming back.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph -->
