The top stock risers from the latest Class of '27 update were revealed Tuesday. However, they weren't the only prospects making moves in this Feburary update. The Kansas City area and surrounding counties had quite a few players receive a higher ranking after out performing their previous rank during the 2024 season.

A good portion of the KC area stock risers featured in this report hail from some of the more prominent programs in the metro. They'll each look to continue rising and become key contributors for their respective teams throughout this year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1338293' first='Will' last='Textor'] – St. Thomas Aquinas, 6'1”, 260, DL

Folks will see with this first prospect and later in this report why St. Thomas Aquinas has no signs of slowing down. Textor received one of the highest increases in rank during this update, as he went from just outside the Top 150 to now being No. 75 overall. The sophomore boasts a great frame for his age, and he should see more varsity action as a junior.

[player_tooltip player_id='1310409' first='Matthew' last='Hyde'] – Basehor-Linwood, 6'2”, 225, OL

Basehor-Linwood has become an underrated hotbed for offensive line talent as of late. The 74th ranked prospect in the class is hoping to maintain that reputation for the Bobcats. Hyde came away with the second highest increase in rank from this group, as he rose over 70 spots. He's a bit undersized right now, but his commitment to the weight room will help fill out his frame.

[player_tooltip player_id='1268213' first='Fares' last='Flores'] – Turner, 5'9”, 215, OL

The third highest stock riser of this group was Flores of Turner High School. Flores now sits at No. 70 overall after previously being ranked No. 98 in the November update. He's another undersized lineman, but his athleticism makes up for his lack of size. Flores is also capable of playing multiple interior offensive line positions.

[player_tooltip player_id='1463234' first='Ryder' last='Farley'] – Mill Valley, 5'8”, 185, LB/LS

After making his rankings debut in November, Farley maintained his status as a Top 50 prospect in this update. He inched closer to the Top 25 after moving from No. 42 overall to No. 36. Farley came on strong for Mill Valley in the postseason, and should be a key defender for them during his junior campaign.

[player_tooltip player_id='823254' first='Terrence' last='Bryant'] – St. Thomas Aquinas, 6'0”, 175, LB

As mentioned toward the beginning of this report, the young talent Aquinas has on it's roster once again puts them in position to be title contenders. Remember the name [player_tooltip player_id='823254' first='Terrence' last='Bryant'] in the fall. He was a nuisance to opposing offenses in 2024, and he's just getting started. In this update he climbed to No. 17 overall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1277775' first='Henry' last='Houser'] – Blue Valley North, 6'4”, 235, DL

Blue Valley North has a strong core for their 2027 class. Houser is a key piece to that core, and he'll look to be one of the Mustangs' top defensive players during the 2025 season. He's now the 35th ranked prospect overall, but he has the potential to keep rising throughout this year.
