I am excited to announce that Prep Redzone Kansas has added a new scout. This addition will allow PRZ Kansas to better scout and feature small school prospects.

Ben Mitchum, (Ellinwood), will join our scouting team. Mitchum has a ton of experience in the world of football at the middle school, high school, and collegiate levels.

One of his primary expected roles as a PRZ Kansas scout will be to serve as a main point of contact for the Eight-Man football ranks. He will also scout a bulk of western Kansas schools, and scout some for Prep Redzone Nebraska.

I encourage athletes, coaches, and parents of athletes at Western Kansas high schools to follow Mitchum on the X platform @Coach_Mitchum.

I will continue to dabble in the small school ranks as I am the lead scout in Kansas and ultimately the scout who makes final decisions on our player rankings.

The Class of 2027 is next in line for a major update of the rankings. Here is a report on five unranked athletes from the eight-man and six-man ranks.

Profiles for each of these athletes have been created on Prep Redzone and can be claimed by using the following link https://prepredzone.com/prospect-index/#claim-profile-anchor. Each of these athletes will be added to the rankings in February during the next round of updates.

Athletes with claimed profiles that include contact information and video highlights, for our subscribers to access do get a slight advantage in the rankings.
