An explosive athlete who once he gets to the second level makes life miserable for secondary players trying to tackle him. Very dependable receiver out of the backfield and always a willing lead blocker as a fullback. Physical defender who lives in the offensive backfield. Any college looking for a future fullback/H-Back, Scherrer is a kid you need on your radar.

Scherrer was one of the better running backs in all of 8-Man football this past season, even as a sophomore. He helped lead the Knights to a 8-Man II runner-up finish this past fall after rushing for 1,014 yards on 87 carries and 17 touchdowns on the ground. Also a dependable receiver out of the backfield, Scherrer had 14 catches for 182 yards and yet another five touchdowns. On the defensive side of the ball he had 43 tackles (26 solo), 18 tackles for loss, four sacks and three fumble recoveries. Victoria had him playing both defensive line and linebacker throughout the season.

Overall Scherrer is a thick built athlete who would remind many of All-Big XII fullback and Plainville native Jared Casey in build (5-foot-10, 220-pounds) and movement. An explosive athlete who once he gets to the second level makes life miserable for secondary players trying to tackle him. Very dependable receiver out of the backfield and always a willing lead blocker as a fullback. Definitely a prospect that will be shooting up the 2027 rankings in due time. Any college looking for a future fullback/H-Back, Scherrer is a kid you need on your radar.

He is the type of dual-threat quarterback that brings first and foremost a good frame to build on with him standing 6-foot-2. Very good athlete that excels in multiple sports. Even though he comes from the 8-Man ranks, he shows the ability to play underneath center or from the shot-gun both effectively. He can makes throws anywhere on the field and with good touch. Always a threat to beat you with his feet in the run game or moving out of the pocket. Able to throw with different arm angles and off platform while on the move.

Crites is one of the top young quarterbacks in the 8-Man ranks helping lead the Oilers to a 8-Man I runner-up finish to the Hoxie Indians this past fall. Also a standout basketball player (point guard), he brings all the intangibles one looks for in a quarterback. This gunslinger can kill you not only through the air but with his feet on any given player.

This past fall he threw for 1,321 yards on 96 of 164 passing, 18 touchdowns and only threw eight interceptions on the season. Crites was an Honorable Mention All-State selection at quarterback.

Greene has the size, length and athletic ability to be a definite college prospect. Even at 6-foot-6, he has no problem getting flat back and showing good pad level from his offensive tackle position. More of a bruiser that loves to drive his defender into the ground but shows good feet in his pass set.

Also is a top level defensive tackle for the Indians. He not only is able to control the interior but has the type of motor to make plays on the outside. Length is definitely a plus.

Greene is a ever developing offensive tackle prospect that has the desired frame that colleges are looking for. He shows good knee bend and explosion. His first initial steps off the line of scrimmage are top notch and shows the type of feet that not only makes for a good pass set but also a capable puller if need be in the run game.

He was a Honorable Mention All-Central Kansas League performer along the defensive line. Due to his athletic ability, he played both defensive end and defensive tackle this past fall. His ability to get off the ball quickly, use his hands and length makes him a intriguing defensive line prospect, let alone someone to definitely watch at offensive tackle.

Defensively he shows the ability to not only play with a high motor but able to set the edge and disengage from blocks fairly easily, which makes him difficult to hook on the edge. Even has the ability to drop in coverage due to his athletic ability.

On the offensive side of the ball he shows good understanding and awareness at his B-Back (fullback) position. He recognizes his keys well and is able to sink or slide with ease. May not have elite top end speed but still shows adequate enough acceleration and speed to get the job done. Physical runner and protects the football quite nicely high and tight. Also a dependable pass catcher out of the backfield.

Merlau is a 6-foot-0, 190-pound two-way player for the Cardinals. He started as an defensive end this past season and split time at B-Back with All-Central Kansas League performer [player_tooltip player_id='866511' first='Teron' last='Kraft']. Also a multi-sport athlete that should continue to grow into his body making him projectable at multiple positions. Helped Hoisington reach the 2A State Semifinals this past season, after being in the State Title game his freshman season.

He may play defensive end but he could project just as easily as a linebacker due to his size and athletic ability. Defensively he shows the ability to not only play with a high motor but able to set the edge and disengage from blocks fairly easily, which makes him difficult to hook on outside plays. Even has the ability to drop in coverage due to his athletic ability.

Bishop is a offensive guard that has a very nice frame to develop in the coming years. Shows good athletic ability and length, namely his wing-span. Definitely needs to fill out his frame and continue to get stronger at the point of attack. Ever improving feet and agility that has come a long ways since his freshman year.

Holcomb has had quite the run of major Division One offensive lineman the last few seasons and Bishop has the potential to yet be another in the coming years. He was a first year starter at right guard for the Longhorns playing alongside a Division One right tackle. He helped lead his team to a 3A State Semifinals appearance this past fall before falling to the eventual State Champions in Andale.

Standing 6-foot-4, 245-pounds, he has big time upside. Also participates in wrestling, where he has really improved his feet, flexibility and agility over the last year. You can see on film the wrestling has also helped him learn to use leverage. Still needs to get bigger and stronger which will help him be a more dominate drive blocker. Most definitely a prospect to keep an eye on in the trenches these coming seasons.
