In this report we will take a closer look at a variety of positions as we come down the home stretch to the latest 2027 ranking updates.

So, without further adieu, let's take a look at some big-time ballers coming your way:

[player_tooltip player_id='1522503' first='Zac' last='Zimmerman'] , 6'1, 175, Wichita Trinity, '27, is coming off an incredible sophomore season when he went from unknown starter to rising-star QB in a matter of months. This past fall he was one of, if not the top, sophomore gunslingers in the state after leading the pack with just under 2,700 yards passing and 27 total touchdowns running and passing. And, he did it in only nine games. I have been impressed with the poise and maturity of his game at a young age and his ability to make all the throws. His versatile arm was on display all last year, firing quick strikes over the middle, throwing the deep velocity balls or launching long touch passes down the sideline. For the year he let it rip, completing 194 passes in 389 attempts for a 67% completion percentage, and an elite-level 109 passer rating. Get ready for some serious fireworks this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='856864' first='Pearce' last='George'] , 6'0, 175, QB/ATH, Maize, '27, is a multi-positional playmaker who I have been following closely and is coming off a busy season as a versatile baller who can beat you passing, or running and catching the football. He is a polished quarterback with top-end mechanics who has all the tools, but is also a multi-positional offensive threat who can be used in a variety of ways to help supercharge the Maize offense. He is preparing to play three or four different positions this fall and continue to do whatever the team needs. Last fall he did a little bit of everything on offense, completing 17 of 34 passes for 142 yards passing, carried the ball 15 times for just under 100 yards and hauled in five passes for 128 yards, for just under 400 yards of total offense and four touchdowns. This guy is getting ready for a breakout season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1125716' first='Camron' last='Fields'] , 5'10, 180, RB, KC Washington, '27, is another rising star who began last fall flying way under the radar but it only took a couple of games before he changed all that in a hurry. On the year he piled up 1,500+ total yards and scored 14 touchdowns running, receiving and on returns. Running the ball he was an electric, breakaway threat whenever he touched the ball, carrying 35 times for 487 yards, averaging 14 yards per rush and had a scorching 99-yard TD run. In the air he hauled in 32 passes for 523 and a 16+ yards per reception average. On special teams he averaged right at 40 yards per return including taking one to the house. He is a fast, powerful back who can go scorched earth on defenses out of the slot, as an H-back, or as a tailback. Get your popcorn out for this guy in 2025, he is going to put on a show.

[player_tooltip player_id='944914' first='Malakai' last='Jones'] , 6'0 200, DE/LB, Wichita East, '27, is coming off a good start after a strong sophomore season as a dominating defensive end for the Ace's. He is explosive off the edge and will hit offensive tackles in the mouth on his way to blowing by and making plays in the backfield, or walling off the perimeter when teams try to run wide. He flies to the ball with good closing speed and has the kind of read and react skills with next-level instincts that enables him make big plays in a hurry. He has a strong lower body with fast hands that he uses to fight off blockers and work through traffic to get to the football. He is also a standout student, carrying an impressive 3.5 GPA in the formidable International Baccalaureate Program, which is one of the most challenging academic programs in the country. This guy is already laser focused and getting ready to dominate this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1203149' first='Memphis' last='Banks'], 6'1, 260, DL, Derby, '27, is another Panther warrior in the trenches who is on the rise after a solid season getting acclimated to the varsity game and in Derby's standout program. His coaches are already seeing his big upside as he drew attention in the middle of the defensive line as an aggressive nose guard or can move around and line up as either defensive tackle. He already has a big frame, with a powerful base and good mobility. He uses his strength and quick first step to make life miserable for centers and guards. He moves well along the line of scrimmage and through traffic closing on the ball and plays hard from snap to whistle. He is already working and is going to be pushing for playing time on Friday nights this fall. Get this guy on your watchlist and follow the strides he is making as he gets ready to storm the gates in the trenches this fall.

In conclusion, these guys are getting ready to make some noise this fall. And, as always, if you know of any players flying under the radar, give me a shout via DM on X.
