[player_tooltip player_id='1596325' first='Dax' last='Varnadore'] is a talented passer out of Fort Payne who put together an excellent senior season for his team's passing attack last fall. Varnadore progressed a ton as a prospect over the last four years, and this past season was a great indicator of that- he played with a ton of confidence and made a ton of huge timely throws all throughout the season. Varnadore is a terrific decision-maker- he does an excellent job scanning the field and has a quick release once he's found his target. It's impressive how quickly Varnadore gets the ball out, his quick release doesn't allow defenses to gain pressure or affect him at all. Varnadore impressed me with his accuracy at the intermediate level- he does a great job finding his receivers and placing the ball only where they can make a play on it. All of this was easy to see in Varnadore's film from last fall- he ended the year with 219/351 passing attempts for 2702 yards, 25 touchdowns, and only 4 interceptions. Coaches, take a look at Varnadore's tape- he's a talented passer with a ton to offer. He's come a long way!

[player_tooltip player_id='1471407' first='Chase' last='Ray'] is a gifted quarterback out of Samson who made a ton of huge throws for his team this last year. At 6'3 210, Ray stands tall in the pocket and can see the field extremely well. It's really impressive watching Ray's tape- he's a dedicated pocket passer who can dissect defenses at every level of the field. Ray is excellent at avoiding pressure in the pocket- on film you can find him buying himself so much extra time with how well he maneuvers around the backfield, and with that extra time, he's able to find so many open targets downfield. From an arm talent perspective, Ray impresses- he can make a variety of tough passes downfield, at the intermediate level, and in the quick game as well. It was a blast watching Ray's tape- at the high school level, it's hard to find quarterbacks that play with this much awareness and football IQ. Be sure to watch Ray's film, he's a talented player!

[player_tooltip player_id='1532318' first='Will' last='O'Dell'] is a highly impressive dual-threat quarterback out of Oak Mountain who really impressed us this last season. O'Dell was a huge piece of Oak Mountains offense last season and made tons of plays with his arm and legs all year long. O'Dell is a playmaker in every sense of the word- it doesn't matter the down or distance, give O'Dell the ball and he will find a way to move the chains. O'Dell is a heck of an improviser with the ball in his hands- he can pass the ball very well, is an explosive rushing threat with his legs, and plays with a level of toughness and effort you just can't teach. It's really impressive watching O'Dell maneuver around the field- he doesn't let pressure affect his passing, has the field vision to break off massive runs, and constantly keeps defenses on their toes with his dual-threat capabilities. O'Dell had a massive senior season last fall- completing 147/255 passing attempts for 1989 yards and 9 touchdowns, with an additional 166 carries for 1092 yards and 8 touchdowns on the ground. Just yesterday, O'Dell picked up an offer from Marist- be sure to keep watch of him going forward, no matter where he ends up he's sure to make plays!

[player_tooltip player_id='1596324' first='Jake' last='Roberson'] is an extremely efficient quarterback out of Ohatchee who helped lead his offense to becoming one of the most dominant passing attacks in the state. Roberson is an extremely talented passer capable of completing every throw on the field. Last fall, he and dynamic WR [player_tooltip player_id='1545099' first='Colby' last='Hester'] developed incredible chemistry on the field and were able to create some explosive plays in the passing game against some very talented secondaries. Roberson has great size, sees the field well, and has terrific arm talent and athleticism that allows him to easily extend and make plays. It's really impressive watching Roberson perform under pressure- he has no problem ripping off passes when defenders are in his face and can consistently find ways to make plays when things seem broken. Roberson had his best season yet last fall, completing 179-281 passing attempts for 3069 yards and 32 touchdowns to only 8 interceptions. Be sure to watch Roberson going forward, he's a talented dual sport athlete in basketball as well where he's already making plenty of plays!

[player_tooltip player_id='1071045' first='LJ' last='Cormier'] out of Sipsey Valley is another dual-threat quarterback we watched that really impressed us last fall. Cormier is a highly athletic QB who uses his athleticism to his advantage, constantly causing problems for opposing defenses. With his speed, acceleration, and field vision, Cormier is excellent when he's mobile- he really excels at zone reads, roll-out passes, and designed runs. As a passer, Cormier thrives in the intermediate and short game- he throws the ball with great accuracy and anticipation, consistently hitting his receivers in stride for big gains. Cormier had a great senior season last fall where he completed 118-236 passing attempts for 1746 yards and 16 touchdowns, with an additional 84 carries for 716 yards and 8 touchdowns on the ground as well. It was a blast watching Cormier the last few years, he's been an exciting prospect to follow. Coaches, be sure to check out his tape- he's a special athlete!
