Top skill players in the Maury vs. Green Run VHSL Class 5 semis

This weekend's VHSL Class 5 regional finals will pit No. 1 Maury against No. 1 Green Run. Both teams have several top prospects at the skill position. PRZ looks at what skill position players have to watch for in this game.

GREEN RUN

K'Saan Farrar | QB | 6-3 | 185 | 2025

Farrar completed 123-of-156 passes for 2,422 yards, 31 touchdowns, and two interceptions during the regular season. He committed to UConn back in May of this year. Farrar completed 9-of-18 passes for 129 yards and one touchdown last week. Farrar is a true dual-threat quarterback with the speed to break long runs once he escapes the pocket. A very mobile quarterback with a strong arm and an ability to accurately make off-platform throws.

Knahlij Harrell | WR | 6-0 | 160 | 2026

Harrell caught 30 passes for 644 yards and five touchdowns during the regular season. He committed to play football at Virginia Tech in February of this year. Harrell is being recruited as a cornerback, but you can't ignore his vast receiver production. One thing is sure: he is explosive on both sides of the football and has that initial burst that is more than noticeable.

Charles Jackson III | Green Run | 5-10 | 180 | 2026

Jackson ran for 1,386 yards and 23 touchdowns on 118 carries during the regular season. He has offers from Virginia Tech and Marshall. There aren't too many backs in Virginia who have Jackson's burst once the ball is snapped. Jackson has that explosive straight-line speed that is evident in his highlights. His acceleration through the hole is so fast that the defensive linemen don't have time to close it.

Jayden Anderson | 5-11 | 162 | WR | 2025

Anderson caught 49 passes for 1,286 yards and 20 touchdowns during the regular season. He committed to play for Virginia Tech back in February of this year. Anderson caught four passes for 84 yards and one touchdown last week. Another explosive athlete who has that second gear and can turn short catches into long gains. Has exceptional lateral movement. Can cut on a dime.

TJ Ealy | 5-6 | 212 | RB | 2027

Ealy carried the football 13 times for 94 yards and one touchdown last week.

Tristen Williams | 5-10 | 196 | RB | 2026

Williams carried the football eight times for 89 yards and one touchdown last week.

MAURY

LeBron Bond | 5-9 | 160 | WR | 2025

Bond caught 46 passes for 693 yards and 11 touchdowns during the regular season. He is an Indiana football commit. Bond caught five passes for 55 yards last week. Bond's highlights are from his first three games, and even then, you can tell he has great game speed. He accelerates quickly and is a threat to score from anywhere on the field. He's also a dangerous kick and punt returner.

Au'Tori Newkirk | 6-3 | 200 | QB | 2026

During the regular season, Newkirk completed 156-of-198 passes for 2,818 yards, 37 touchdowns, and two interceptions. He completed 17-of-21 passes for 147 yards and ran for 39 yards and two touchdowns last week against King's Fork.

Elijah Moss | 5-11 | 168 | WR | 2026

Moss caught 30 passes for 475 yards and nine touchdowns during the regular season. His offer list includes Virginia Tech, Duke, East Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia, and Miami (FL).

Jahvon Wiggins | 5-9 | WR | 2026

Wiggins caught 18 passes for 470 yards and six touchdowns during the regular season. His offer list includes Duke, East Carolina, Liberty, Maryland, Morgan State, Virginia Tech, and West Virginia.

Tayshawn Branche | 5-11 | 185 | 2027

Branche carried the football 12 times for 100 yards and scored two touchdowns in Maury's playoff win last weekend over King's Fork. He also caught one pass for 30 yards.

Leon Clark | 5-9 | 195 | RB | 2025

Clark is committed to William & Mary. He scored on a touchdown run last week against King's Fork.
