With the rankings being updated shortly for each class, we will take a look at a few of Washington's top athletes this season. These individuals can be expected to make a nice jump up the rankings board. Here we will analyze the 4A SPSL/NPSL with more updates from other conferences coming soon.

[player_tooltip player_id='937738' first='Kase' last='Betz'] 27' WR 5-11 170 Graham Kapowsin

One of the best players in Washington for his class. Most are already aware of Betz as he could be a POY candidate next season on both sides of the football. On the year the 1st all league WR caught 50 passes for 858 yards and 11 TDs.

[player_tooltip player_id='1544388' first='Shaun' last='Griffith'] 26' DE 6-3 220 Sumner

Griffith was off the charts good all year, being named the 4A SPSL-North Defensive Lineman of the Year. Sumner as a program has to be stoked winning a state title and returning as much talent as they do.

[player_tooltip player_id='1576623' first='Elijah' last='Wallace'] 26' DE 6-3 220 Emerald Ridge

Wallace set the all-time school record in sacks (14) and finished 2nd overall statewide. The 6-3 220-pound standout edge rusher looks to be one of the fastest rising prospects in his class positionally, racking up 1st team 4A SPSL-North honors.

[player_tooltip player_id='1165410' first='Darius' last='Sum'] 26' RB 5-10 170 Stadium

Stadium did relatively well as a program before running into the likes of Kennedy Catholic and Camas late in the year. Sum was one of the state's breakout Junior's, averaging 10.4 yards per carry while totaling 1,557 yards and 20 TDs. He was a 1st team all-league selection.

[player_tooltip player_id='1576625' first='Douglas' last='Peterson'] 26' OL 6-2 220 Graham Kapowsin

Just a super tough kid. Peterson doesn't possess prototypical O line size but absolutely dominated up front being named the 4A SPSL-South Offensive Lineman of the Year.

[player_tooltip player_id='928085' first='Jacob' last='Ford'] 26' WR 5-9 170 Yelm

This kid is a player. Ford went for over 1000 all-purpose yards on the season, earning 1st team all-conference honors. Don't let the size fool you as he will require a consistent double team next year.

[player_tooltip player_id='569907' first='Ayden' last='Bullinger'] 27' T 6-5 235 Graham Kapowsin

We've talked about Bullinger multiple times over the last year. You can expect the 2x 1st team all-conference tackle to add some significant size to his already impressive 6-5 frame. His accolades at such a young age speak to his potential.

[player_tooltip player_id='1576627' first='Lucas' last='Whitehall-Gilkes'] 26' WR 6-2 165 Auburn

Whitehall-Gikes was one of only two underclassmen in the 4A NPSL/SPSL to earn 1st team all-league honors on both sides of the football. Offensively he had over 1000 receiving yards with 15 TDs. He has good size with a stock that is rising quickly.

[player_tooltip player_id='1368366' first='Malik' last='Burns'] 27' WR 6-1 170 Spanaway Lake

Burns could blow up over the off season. The sophomore standout possesses legit size and physicality for a kid still so young. His 32 receptions for 595 yards and 9 TDs are just a glimpse of what he could do the next two years.

[player_tooltip player_id='1165412' first='Elijah' last='Thomas'] 26' OL 6-3 285 Sumner

The big man had a good season earning 1st team all-league honors, as he will be the key to Sumner's offensive line next season. The Spartans graduate the offensive lineman of the year in [player_tooltip player_id='1530883' first='Luke' last='Richardson'] so Thomas will be expected to fill that void.

[player_tooltip player_id='1368349' first='Cordae' last='Cummings'] 27' OLB 6-1 185 Spanaway Lake

Cummings led the team as a sophomore with 62 tackles, also adding 8 tackles for loss and 3 sacks. The combination of him and [player_tooltip player_id='1368366' first='Malik' last='Burns'] is one of the best 2027 combos in the state, with both earning 1st team all-conference accolades.

[player_tooltip player_id='1576631' first='Jereme' last='Scott Jr.'] 26' DL 6-0 285 Curtis

Scott Jr. will project on D but also did a phenomenal job on offense for a (6-5) Curtis team this past season. He earned 1st team all-league honors on O and 2nd team defense, highlighting his overall versatility.

[player_tooltip player_id='1576633' first='Dillon' last='Titialii'] 26' 5-11 210 Sumner

Another huge reason Sumner was able to win a 4A state title. Titialii looks the part and backed it up all season long, being named a 1st team all league LB.

[player_tooltip player_id='1576634' first='Blake' last='Pearson'] 27' RB 6-1 205 Graham Kapowsin

Pearson is a big physical kid who we will hear a lot about the next few seasons. As a sophomore he carried 137 times for 650 yards and 5 TD's, earning 1st team all-conference honors in the process.

[player_tooltip player_id='1576635' first='Sam' last='Rigg'] 27' DB 6-3 175 Olympia

Rigg has elite size and is incredibly fluid for a DB with his length. He was a 1st team all league CB for the Bears and can play multiple spots on either side of the ball.
