've said it in every write up and conversation I've had since getting to spend some time with [player_tooltip player_id='1256345' first='Chance' last='Davis'] this past summer--the kid is mature beyond his years and one of my favorite kids I've ever come across on the middle school level. One of the most athletic Middle School Linebackers I haver ever seen. Insanely athletic and talented. Built like an action figure Multi-sport athlete. Leads vocally and by example. Quite literally, he's everything a coach could want in a football player on the prep level. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention his ability as a Running Back this season as well, but the multi-sport athlete screams Outside Linebacker or Strong Safety in the future.

Serving as QB1 of North Forsyth Middle School's championship-winning team in 2024, the big righty helped steer the ship for the Wildcats. Combining height north of 6-foot, with what I would consider dual-threat ability, and a strong right arm, he helped lead the team to an 8-1 record on the season. Surrounded by a talented and athletically diverse group that saw a Forsyth County-high eight prospects get named All-County, Lamb woke up a lot of people this season.

Standing right around the 6-foot mark, [player_tooltip player_id='1573208' first='Tyler' last='Cianciolo'] was a standout in all three phases ofthe game the Wildcats in 2024. His film featured him making a large number of plays on the defensive of the ball as a Safety--both against the run and the pass. Offensively, he was one of the taller, longer and leaner Wide Receivers in a talented corps offensively. On both offense and defense, he used a height and wingspan advantage to make the plays he needed to make. It should be noted that he also returned punts and was valuable on the kick-off team.

[player_tooltip player_id='1573249' first='Cooper' last='Schreiber'] was named All-Forsyth County as a Strong Safety, but don't just label him as such, because he can (does) do a lot more on the football field. Defensively, yes, he's one heck of a Strong Safety. On a front that typically showed three down linemen and any number of combinations of blitzing Linebackers/Edge players sniffing the line of scrimmage, they needed a reliable tackler in the back half (or walked up into the box) and Schreiber fit that role to the tee. Offensively, where I personally liked him more, his sudden explosiveness made him extremely dangerous on quick routes. Once he baited the defense to come up, he could easily go deep for six too.

Yet another one of those dangerous players on both sides of the ball, [player_tooltip player_id='1573283' first='Carter' last='Black'] was a presence on both sides of the ball for the Wildcats. Lining up as a quick, ankle-biting Outside Linebacker, he was rarely out of position and made a ton of tackle on the game film that I watched. Offensively, he served as a Wide Receiver that brought some strength to the position. He's well-put together and broke soft arm tackles with ease while creating after the catch. At times I caught myself wondering about the Tight End position for him. Also a tough player on the basketball court, he's an all-around athlete with an upside.

Despite not having the size necessary at this point (December 2024, his eighth-grade year) to be an impactful Offensive and Defensive Lineman on the next level, Naranjo was served as an athletic Linemen on the 2024 Wildcat team. Squatty with decent thickness and quickness. I noticed he played with almost a springing action when he got out of his stance, then learned it's probably from all the drills he does as a Catcher on the baseball diamond.

On a team with so much talent at the skill positions, it's easy to quickly overlook the big dudes on the front lines. That said, one kid that couldn't be missed on film was Defensive End/Edge player [player_tooltip player_id='1573270' first='Dylan' last='Malone']. A player who is nowhere near his ceiling physically, he used his length and motor to routinely make plays in the backfield. Operating out of a stand-up position and typically lined up on the outside shoulder of the last man on the line of scrimmage, Malone played with his ears pinned back and in full attack mode.
