Earlier this week, Prep Redzone Arkansas released the 2027 prospect ranking update. Each time we release the rankings, we have the opportunity to see who is moving up the rankings. In this article, we will highlight several prospects that have shot up the rankings.

[player_tooltip player_id='1155375' first='Dallas' last='Bledsoe']-Running Back-Little Rock Central-6'0” 180-Pounds

[player_tooltip player_id='1155375' first='Dallas' last='Bledsoe'] is a versatile player who can line up on the offensive side of the ball and handle special teams' duties as the Tigers' return man. From the running back spot, Bledsoe does a great job of finding the proper rushing lane and exploding through the hole. He is the type of running back who can carry between the tackles or make a cut and take off down the sideline. The Little Rock Central running back is a player to watch out for over the next few seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id='1219120' first='Dane' last='Tedford']-Offensive Line-Ozark-6'6” 290-Pounds

[player_tooltip player_id='1219120' first='Dane' last='Tedford'] has the ability to see playing time on both sides of the ball for Ozark. On the offensive side of the ball, Tedford can play any position along the offensive front. He explodes out of the snap and can overpower the opposing pass rusher. Meanwhile, on the defensive side of the ball, Tedford is a powerful defender who can clog up rushing lanes with ease. Tedford is a player to watch out for over the next couple of seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id='1195586' first='William' last='Gaines']-Linebacker-Searcy-5'10” 190-Pounds

The Searcy linebacker had an impressive 2024. Gaines is a player who does an impressive job of reading the play. He has the speed to shed blocks and get into the opposing offensive backfield. Gaines is the type of player who does not give up on a play. He has the speed to drop back into pass coverage and disrupt the opposing passing game. Gaines is a prospect that I expect to have an even more impressive season in 2025.

[player_tooltip player_id='1223230' first='Cason' last='Roten']-Linebacker-Elkins-5'10” 190-Pounds

The Elkins Elks have done an excellent job of producing talented prospects over the past few years. [player_tooltip player_id='1223230' first='Cason' last='Roten'] is a linebacker who uses his tremendous speed to disrupt the opposing offensive backfield. He has an impressive mix of speed and power and uses it to cause problems for opposing players. Roten is another 2027 linebacker that I expect big things from over the next few years.

[player_tooltip player_id='1192752' first='Bryston' last='McCoy']-Quarterback-Arkadelphia-6'0” 170-Pounds

The quarterback position is a strong one in the class of 2027. McCoy is a signal caller that had a tremendous 2024 and has the potential to set the bar even higher in 2025. McCoy is accurate with the football and can fit the ball into some tight windows. Meanwhile, he knows how to extend the play and is not afraid to use his legs to pick up yards on the ground. McCoy is a player to watch out for over the next few years and so are the Badgers.
