Mid-season highlights are flying across the internet right now! Time to check them out and give our feedback on a variety of players from a variety of teams, divisions and skill levels!

Chase has a number of good highlights both offensively and defensively. On offense, he does his best work lined up at TE and popping out for seam routes or blocking downfield with some tenacity. He makes nice sure catches and seems to be next to impossible to defend on jump balls. Defensively, he is big and physical, so teams have a tough time dealing with him blowing up running lanes and getting into the backfield to cause mayhem. He'll still need to work on agility and speed but so far in his conference he is dominant!

Hunter is a pure pass rusher that is a blast to watch on film. He explodes on his first step, and typically wins with a burst of speed. If he doesn't get there just on speed, he has a pretty solid inside spin move that just leaves tackles lunging for air. He even displays a solid swim move that can get some separation and lets him recover with speed. I really liked what I saw on film from him defensively. On the offensive side of the ball, he is an aggressive blocking TE who can absolutely blaze a path. I will definitely be watching Hunter closely as I think he could end up as a major upside prospect.

This Grand Valley State commit did everything I wanted to see him do to take the next step at the center position. He is faster and stronger than he was last season and is showing all of the qualities that you like to see. He is extremely aggressive, can get out to the 2nd level and absolutely dominate. It's not too often you see a center this well versed, strong and agile, but Carson is a special one! His mid-season tape shows all of the reasons why he is going to a great program at the next level.

Portland is known for getting the job done on the ground, as they are always a hard nosed team. Typically, they have a lot of really good talent in the trenches, and it looks like they have another one in Cody Hangesbach! He is dominant when down blocking and taking defenders completely out of the play. He is also agile enough to release to the 2nd level and lock onto a linebacker and drive them out. I hope to see Portland in person soon, and would love to see what Cody can do for 4 quarters!

Pope is a 2-way star that can impact the game in a variety of ways, but I especially love what he brings on the defensive side of the ball. He is agile enough to chase plays side to side or cover in space if asked to do it and is also tough enough to play in the box and play downhill with physicality. Maurice has the ability to play at the next level, I definitely be watching for his end of season highlights!
