Mid-Season Review: Prospects of the Future

<p>All eyes and ears are on the current Juniors and Seniors of high school football, how they are performing, where they are playing, who they are committed to, and more. We take a step back and highlight the future prospects in the classes of 2028, 2029, and so forth. These young athletes have been showcasing their skillset early. Here is the evaluation of promising young talent within the natural state to watch and add to your recruiting board.</p>    <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1330221' first='Logan' last='Benton'] is a 2031 quarterback (yes, 2031) out of Arkansas. When evaluating this young, you will notice that Benton has one of the strongest arms you'll see from this age group. Along with working on and off the field, he's been getting trained by the QB Doctor and college coaches at camps. He displays solid ball placement and anticipation off breaks in the short to intermediate levels of the field. Harshaw displays solid initial quickness off the snap with a strong punch to throw off defenders. In run blocking, he showcases solid footwork, good hand placement, and active feet to drive and displace the DL out of their gaps and create running lanes, demonstrating his high motor. He's a lengthy strider with an impressive catch radius at wide receiver, showcasing his good hand-eye coordination and body control to pluck the ball away from any angle mid-stride. At Safety, Warrior displays solid read and react ability, putting himself in a position to make a play on the football. He showcases good athleticism due to his good balance, burst, foot quickness, solid foot speed, change of direction, and lateral agility. Latham is quick and elusive, forcing defenders to miss in space. Solid post-snap vision to locate the running lane with his burst to shoot through the gap. He displays solid upfield burst off the snap with good UOH and active feet to drive back the OL into the pocket to generate pressure or shed and make a play in the backfield or at the line of scrimmage. He showcases versatility as he can line up from the 0-3 tech. Mills displays solid initial quickness off the LOS with good pad level, hand placement, and footwork to drive and displace his defender. Solid lower body power and strength with the ability to consistently create running lanes.
