Defensive Linemen on Pace to Make Our Next Rankings Update

The list includes some of the nation's most highly touted prospects, but it also features a ton of unsung hidden gems. I'd put the state of Texas' top 300 prospects up against just about any.   I'm looking at which defensive linemen missed tomorrow's rankings update, but are on pace for our next one. These are all very talented prospects that could have easily been justified in making this most recent update. I will keep an eye on them throughout their senior season as we prepare for our next update.   As always, If you have someone you think I need to see, please DM them to me on Twitter at @hsfbscout!   <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>   DE: [player_tooltip player_id='1139361' first='Blake' last='Isbell'] 6'3" 235, Coppell   A sporty prospect who has kicked all over the defensive line and put up production at every spot. He's extremely aggressive, plays with a high motor, and has the raw upper-body strength to disengage & get to the quarterback. He's got a quick first step and springs out of his stance punching his opponent on a rise.   EDGE: TJ Burkhalter, 6'1" 210, Klein Forest   A pass rush specialist with compact & violent hands to go along with plenty of deception. He accelerates off the snap and can stick his foot in the dirt and change direction, he controls blockers at the point of attack and can get skinny through tight interior gaps. He can dip his shoulder and lean around the edge and plays much bigger than his listed size.   DT: Braden Bays, 6'3" 260, Boerne   Bays is highly effective against the run and can generate instant penetration off the snap. He's a vicious finisher who fights through opposing double teams using sheer will. He's got sudden hands, he plays with low pads and has surprising bend for a man his size.   EDGE: Cullen Devine, 6'3" 225, Westlake   A twitchy pass rusher with plenty of shake to make tackles look silly in their pass set. He's got the strength to push the pocket, he can line up with his hand in the dirt or in a two-point and knows how to turn a tackle's shoulders before sticking his foot in the turf & rocketing inside. He even has experience lining up off the ball as an inside linebacker.   DT: Frankie Long, 6'5" 290, Willis   Long has ideal size for the defensive tackle position, he's pretty filled out and uses his mixture of quickness and strength to cause disruption behind the line of scrimmage. He uses a crafty swim move to shed blocks at the point of attack and has proven that he can make tough tackles out of awkward body positions. I think if he can show more as a pass rusher this fall, his offer list will grow quite quickly.   DT: [player_tooltip player_id='1316976' first='AJ' last='Brown'] 6'3" 295, Duncanville   Brown's lower body works in unison with his upper half, providing serious pop out of his stance. Brown can generate knockback with little effort, his bull rush is highly effective as a pass rusher and he's got exceptional body control for a big man. He's tough, can quickly detach from blocks, and is a fighter through the echo of the whistle.
