From bad weather to Top 10 opponents, Week One brought its share of challenges to CSRA teams.

Nevertheless, there were several players who made stellar performances in victory and defeat. Here are this week's list of Game Ball recipients:

[player_tooltip player_id='402503' first='Michael' last='Doe'], RB North Augusta

The junior tailback was the engine that accelerated the Yellow Jackets' offense against a tenacious Lexington defense. Running out of the Wildcat and behind offensive linemen Ethan Fitzgerald and [player_tooltip player_id='1251916' first='Malcolm' last='Gaston'], Doe accounted for all but one point in North Augusta's 20-19 loss to the Wildcats. Doe almost came away with the victory but was overwhelmed off the snap behind the one-yard-line by Lexington's defense which included linebackers [player_tooltip player_id='836316' first='Matthew' last='McAulay'], Ethan VanHouton and Nathan Escoe and defensive linemen [player_tooltip player_id='1249786' first='Artem' last='Kalinkin'] and Isaiah Saxon.

Davion McKinnis, [player_tooltip player_id='1254097' first='Deondre' last='Baskett'] and Simeon Jones, DL all of North Augusta

The Yellow Jackets' defensive front trio averages about 6-feet and 250 pounds. They also move with quickness off the ball and are difficult to push around at the line of scrimmage. Baskett thwarted a fourth down attempt by Lexington and McKinnis had a sack against an experienced Lexington offensive line.

CJ Blacks and Deonte Phillips, RBs both of Strom Thurmond

The Rebels' ground game accounted for 247 of their 254 total yards in the 35-12 rout of Silver Bluff. Leading the way was Blacks with 131 rushing yards and a score and Phillips who had two touchdowns to go with 77 rushing yards. Afterwards head coach Andrew Webb singled out starting offensive linemen Tucker Mims, Trent Kelly, Gage Cockrell, Micah Warren, and Carter Boatwright. Blacks was also second with seven tackles for a Rebels' defense that held the Bulldogs to 151 total yards.

[player_tooltip player_id='1422601' first='Wytrayvious' last='Dugar'], DB Strom Thurmond

The sophomore defensive back had an interception to set up a Rebels' touchdown and finished with six tackles.

[player_tooltip player_id='272720' first='Cameron' last='Austin'], QB Barnwell

Another balanced effort both running and throwing for the University of South Carolina baseball commit.
