Chambers at Hickory Ridge – Defensive Standouts

Alique picked up a sack and a couple of tackles for loss. Alique also did a good job of coming down the line in run support and making tackles. In particular, when the game was still close in the 1st half, the Ragin Bulls took two deep shots on Tiquan on the same drive, and he was able to deflect both passes, and played excellent technique in man to man coverage. Hickory Ridge had to start throwing a good bit in the game to try and get back in it, but Keishaun and his secondary teammates never let anyone get behind them and forced the Ragin Bulls into bad decisions and turnovers as a result. He came up with a fumble recovery on the Chambers first offensive possession. Jace also recorded a sack and a couple of tackles for loss in the game. I think his presence forced Chambers to run a gameplan where they got the ball out fast a lot on a mix of screens in the passing game. That's a testament to how dominate of a pass rusher Jace has become as a player. Chambers did not have a ton of success running the football right at the middle of the Hickory Ridge defense, and Jack was a big reason why. Jack had a couple of tackles for loss in the interior run game specifically.
