Time to get your game face on.

In this report I will be taking a look at three key positions - Offensive Linemen, Linebackers and Wide Receivers. I selected a couple of standout players who caught my eye in recent tape review and took a look at how their summers unfolded and what kind of work they put in getting ready for the 2024 season.

And, let me tell you, they are ready.

So, without further adieu, I bring you the latest "Sizzling Six" getting ready to dominate this fall:

LINEBACKERS

[player_tooltip player_id='1115502' first='Wyatt' last='Kirkpatrick'] , 6'2, 225, LB, Hays. He is coming off a dominant junior season when he piled up 104 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, picked off a couple of passes and scored a pair of defensive touchdowns along the way. He has next-level linebacker size and athleticism and plays with a mauler mentality. He has been busy getting ready this summer hitting the weight room and boosting all of his PR's in the major lifts. He has been working out with the team this summer in between hitting the the camp-clinic circuit to continue to fine-tune his skills. He got on the road to take his game to the next level at the Kansas State, Pitt State, Fort Hays State and the Top Prospect camps. He may not be getting as much attention out in western Kansas, but this guy is the real deal. Get out and see a master at his craft this fall. You will not be disappointed.

[player_tooltip player_id='1115473' first='Dylan' last='Sonday'] , 6'2, 220, LB, Dodge City, '25. Another headhunter of a linebacker flying under the radar in western Kansas, he has been focused on his training for the all-important senior year. He is an instinctive ballhawk defender who is versatile enough to play any of the linebacker positions. He has been working in the Dodge City off-season program, hitting the weights and conducting his speed work to ensure he has the strength to hit tackles in the teeth and also run down backs on the perimeter. He also fine-tuned his skill sets in the camp-clinic circuit, hitting the Northwest Missouri State, Missouri Western, Central Oklahoma, Southeast Missouri State and South Dakota University camps. He has bumped up all of his PR's in the major lifts and is in the best shape of his life coming down the homestretch. Get out and see a defensive baller ready to dominate this fall.

OFFENSIVE LINEMEN

[player_tooltip player_id='866488' first='Dimitri' last='Washington'] , 6'3, 305, OL, Maize. The man-mountain in the middle, he is a top-flight offensive lineman who is versatile enough to play anywhere along the offensive front, but has been very effective anchoring the middle from his center position. He is a mauler of a blocker who has great feet for his size and the strength to hammer defenders into submission in the trenches. He has a next-level frame and the skill sets to play D1 somewhere in the near future. He stayed busy this summer competing with the best and the brightest at numerous camps-clinics. He hit the Missouri camp as well as Lindenwood, Memphis, Central Oklahoma, Pitt State, Kansas State and Tulsa. He is already starting to reel in D1 interest and after this coming season he will probably have more offers than he knows what to do with. This guy is going to dominate in the trenches this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='868976' first='Connor' last='Herman'] , 6'3, 250, OL, Halstead. Another versatile man in the middle who has been a leader on the Halstead offensive line since his freshman year. He is coming off an excellent junior season when he dominated in the trenches and taking out linebackers, piling up an incredible 100+ knockdown blocks and pancakes. He has been pounding the weights, doing his agility training and has spent time with legendary trainer, Coach Tabor with @PIAthletes to take his preparation to the next level. He was also busy honing his craft on the road, going to the Pitt State and Kansas University mega camps. He and his teammates also participated in a team camp at Buhler, as they continued to gel on offense. I have been hearing a lot of positive talk about this guy, get out and see him deliver one of his signature pancake blocks this fall.

WIDE RECEIVERS

[player_tooltip player_id='570215' first='Carter' last='Burnett'] , 6'4, 195, WR/DE, Wellington. He is coming off an outstanding junior season when he hauled in 44 passes for 842 yards and 11 touchdowns and was a consensus all-state wide receiver. He is a long, athletic wideout with a huge catch radius that is almost impossible to stop in the red zone. He comes highly recommended by Coach Tabor at @PIAthletes, as one of the best in the Midwest. He has also been busy fine-tuning his skills at some of the top camps in the area, hitting the Kansas and Kansas State camps and also venturing out of state for a number of visits. He has been working hard in the Wellington off-season program, getting ready to test out new PR's in all the major lifts and in the sprints. This guy is a dangerous weapon with all the tools the elite programs are looking for who is getting ready to star on a loaded Wellington team this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1228443' first='Brandt' last='Stupka'] , 6'2, 180, WR, Andover Central. Another stud wideout who is coming off an excellent junior season, catching 46 passes for 823 yards and five TD's and helping his team to a state runner-up finish. He has been busy in the off-season, setting the school record in the high jump this spring and then focusing on football this summer. He has been hitting it hard with his teammates in the Andover Central off-season program, fine-tuning his speed work, hitting the weights every morning and participating in a number of 7v7 events. He also got on the road to take his skill sets to the next level, participating in the Kansas State, Kansas, Pitt State and Lindenwood camps. He is prepped and ready to star on a loaded Andover Central team this fall. Get out and see a stud flying under the radar for a standout team.

In conclusion, get these guys on your watchlist and get out and see them if at all possible. And, as always, if you know of anyone “flying under the radar” feel free to reach out to @CoolDaddyO via DM on X.
