Show-Me Recruiting Notebook

Prep Redzone class of 2027 number one ranked player [player_tooltip player_id='1160198' first='Chance' last='McPike'] Jr. (6'1" 180) WR/DB of Lutheran North had colleges validate his talents with Tennessee and Nebraska both extending offers to him this week. McPike is talented skill player with speed and playmaking ability on both sides of the ball and special teams. Look for a big season and continued recruiting interest as 2024 unfolds.

Rock Bridge 2025 WR [player_tooltip player_id='326731' first='Devin' last='Holt'] (6'2" 180) earned and offer from Northern Illinois as his senior season kicks off on Friday. The speedy Holt has everything colleges look for in a WR. Good size, track speed, good hands and runs nice routes. Devin is also physical and a good blocker.

Another 2027 talent Vianney WR/DB [player_tooltip player_id='1188251' first='Noah' last='Williams'] (6'1" 175) landed his first D1 offer from Massachusetts. Williams caught my attention as a freshman with his athleticism and route running. He is a skilled receiver who could play on either side of the ball in college.

Parkway South OL [player_tooltip player_id='1118514' first='Andy' last='Hertlein'] (6'4" 275) picked up his most recent offer from Indiana State. Hertlein has been a talented baseball player in the past, but has really elevated his skills and potential as a college football prospect through training and hard work. I have had the chance to watch him transform himself from athlete to D1 college offense lineman.

St. Louis University High 2025 DB prospect [player_tooltip player_id='1118472' first='Matthew' last='Moore'] (6'0" 180) received his first offer from Missouri Southern. Moore is one of the top defensive back prospects in the senior class and has flown under the radar longer then I anticipated. I expect other schools to take notice of Moore now and during the season.

Lee's Summit 2025 OL Kale VanPelt picked up his second offer from Ottawa University.

Francis Howell 2025 OL [player_tooltip player_id='1238478' first='Eli' last='Edwards'] also landed an offer from the Braves from Ottawa University.
