I keep thinking I am about caught up announcing college offers, but Kansas athletes continue to get offers to play football at the next level.

As promised before I took a week's vacation I have two reports on unranked Kansas prospects who have earned college offers.

This first report will focus on six big athletes who play on the line or as linebackers. The second report will focus on skilled players.

Each of these athletes can expect to be added to the rankings during the next round of updates, which will be published before the season starts.

As always athletes can use the following link to claim their new player profiles or to create a new profile if a Prep Redzone scout has not yet created one for you.

[player_tooltip player_id='1343591' first='Michael' last='Bernart'], TE, 6'4”, 230, St. Thomas Aquinas

Bernart is a big target for quarterbacks. He has an NAIA offer from Benedictine. He can play defensive end as well for the Ravens. Last season was the first year of football for Bernart, who is also a quality college basketball prospect. He is long and athletic, but still quite raw.

[player_tooltip player_id='1334224' first='Dorian' last='Coleman'], OL, 6'2”, 275, Junction City

Coleman is strong like a bull. He does a solid job of playing with a low pad level on offense. The Junction City prospect has an offer from the Bethany Swedes. He can play tackle or guard and his skills are best used as a run-blocker.

[player_tooltip player_id='1351468' first='Maddix' last='Davis'], OL, 6'7”, 285, Piper

Piper's offensive tackle Davis has an offer from Coffeyville Community College and Graceland University. Graceland is an NAIA program in Iowa. Davis is best suited to play the tackle position, but he has also spent time at center in high school. He is quick for his size and blocks well downfield.

[player_tooltip player_id='1347131' first='Tate' last='Hutchinson'], LB, 6'2”, 215, Andover

Andover's Hutchinson has an offer from the Bethel Threshers. He is a solid edge rusher who can play defensive end or linebacker. He is quick and can beat blockers with his first step. He finishes tackled and can pressure the quarterback.

[player_tooltip player_id='1343592' first='Skylar' last='Ray'], DL, 5'11”, 205, Hutchinson

Ray was busy this summer competing in multiple camps and combines including one at Pittsburg State. The Salthawk run-stopper has an offer from the Sterling Warriors. He can play defensive tackle or defensive end. He finished his junior season with 28 total tackles. He is a space-eater who can fight double teams and allow his linebackers to finish plays.

[player_tooltip player_id='1322065' first='Logan' last='Taggart'], LB, 6'3”, 210, Andover Central

The Jaguars are loaded for bear this season and will be a popular program for college coaches to watch this fall. Taggart is a quick linebacker with an offer from Bethany. He is a solid middle linebacker who is a controlled blitzer and plays solid pass coverage. He has reliable hands and has spent time playing tight end for the Jaguars.
